Just a quick update from the pay league that is drafting via email currently:
Halladay went in the first. Only P to go there.
Four SPs went in the second.
Jose "Brady" Bautista went in the third.
Through five and a half rounds, 18 SPs have been drafted.

Glenn
You have to pay to play, Glenn! As a consolation prize though, here is an article I wrote on the first round. I'll do a round-by-round version as we go along.
Premature E-Draftulation

Premature E-Draftulation
Good stuff Emory. Since you listed the first round in this article, we can make comparisons to the MB draft listed above.
Interestingly, all 15 picks were basically the same in both drafts, which is amazing this far before the season. David Wright went 14th in the NFBC pay slow draft and I took him 16th here, with Howard going 15th. So he's basically a first rounder in both drafts.
Here are both drafts:
First Round
1. Albert Pujols- Glennerationx
2. Carlos Gonzalez- Asumijet
3. Miguel Cabrera- Navel Lint
4. Hanley Ramirez- Raskol
5. Joey Votto- BEF
6. Troy Tulowitzki- headhunters
7. Evan Longoria- Schwks
8. Carl Crawford- Lawrence Liebman
9. Alex Rodriquez- Don M
10. Ryan Braun- DOUGHBOYS
11. Josh Hamilton- Catch
12. Roy Halladay- Head2Head
13. Robinson Cano - emalbright
14. Chase Utley - ToddZ
15. Ryan Howard - GregA
NFBC Slow Draft:
1. Albert Pujols
2. Troy Tulowitzki
3. Hanley Ramirez
4. Carlos Gonzalez
5. Alex Rodriguez
6. Evan Longoria
7. Carl Crawford
8. Ryan Braun
9. Roy Halladay
10. Joey Votto
11. Miguel Cabrera
12. Chase Utley
13. Robinson Cano
14. David Wright
15. Josh Hamilton

The biggest thing I noticed is Miguel Cabrera at 11. I just can't imagine 10 people passing on him.
Votto dropping to 10 seems steep to me as well.

Any one of the first 11 players taken in the MB Draft could be a viable number two pick.
The American League may be the stronger of the two leagues, but 9 of the 15 first rounders are National Leaguers.
One of the players chosen in the second round of the MB Draft was not taken till the sixth round in the pay league.
You'll have to stay tuned to Emory's reports to find out who.
No clear cut 'blow 'em away, total faith in this closer' means that closer runs will start later.
Another pitchers year, next year?
Is 25 homers the new 35 homers?
More stolen bases? Less?
My ballpark question (kiped from a radio show)-
What one highlight or clip is the first that comes to mind when asked to think about baseball.
Mine was Carlton Fisk body languaging his ball fair. Other answers were the Willie Mays catch, the Kevin Mitchell barehanded catch, the "Giants win the Pennant!!" clip, Rose knocking over Ray Fosse...
The highest percentage on the radio show was Kirk Gibson's dramatic Game one World Series home run.
Alright, this post has enough discussion fodder.

Both leagues basically were spot on with the first 15 players. How many players through Round 2 were consistent between the two drafts? Just wondering if it gets wackier in the second round as some owners were already questioning if certain guys should be going that high.
Good fun. 50 is the new 40 with us young folks Dan, so yes, 40 HRs is the new 30!!

Beside the drop of the player to the sixth round, the most notable difference was four pitchers taken in the pay league, only two in the MB 2nd round.

As a baseball fan, and not just a Fantasy player, I love this question.
"Giants win the Pennant" has to be the most famous moment in baseball history.
Love the Mays, Fisk, & Gibson choices as well.
A few that immediately come to my mind are Yogi jumping into Larson's arms, Jackie sliding underneath Yogi stealing home, Dent clearing the Green Monster, Brett charging the umpire after the Pine Tar homer, Ricky lifting the base & calling himself the greatest, old man Ryan kicking Ventura's ass, Ripken lapping the stadium slapping hands with fan after fan, Aaron rounding the bases with some congratulatory fans, and of course Lou Gehrig's "Luckiest man" farewell speech.
My personal favorite moment was Mookie's grounder to Buckner helping my Mets complete the greatest season in baseball's history.
I'm sure there are many, many more, but fun to think about anyway.

My dad, a NYC bartender was handed two tickets, about 12 hours before the start of Game 4 of the 1978 World Series*, yes it was a day game. The game went into extra innings, but we had to leave at the end of the 9th inning for an event Dad had to attend**. Dad and I were of course alone on the subway platform, when the greatest roar I have ever heard erupted from the stadium. We knew they had won, we just didn't know how***. Whenever I get down, I just let that roar roll through me and it never fails to pick me up. My Dad's Irish, but he gave me one of the greatest American Gifts, Baseball
* $17 face value, still have the stub
** Sligo dance at Gaelic Park (if you know what that means you probable know my Dad!)
*** Lou Pinella single in the 10th
