In 16 AB's, Bloomquist has 4 steals, an HR, and is hitting .313. Does AZ really have a better leadoff hitter than that? Why should he be benched when Drew comes back? I say bench Parra instead and let Willie roam left field.
I look at that and it seems obvious to me that he should play if he is producing like that.

He's done very well defensively at short and has shown pretty good range.

Another 2 run bingo, to tie the game.

He's 33 years old and has a .265/.317/.339 career line in 2000+ ABs. A few good days in April doesn't change the fact that he would be a bad everyday player at any position, and a horrifically awful player at a corner outfield spot.

Sounds like someone thinks he's found this year's Bautista.

Good points, especially if you are playing him at a OF spot. He qualifies at SS. But do we really know that he would be a bad everyday player? I think he has had only 1 year with over 400 AB's.
Edit - especially good points after I realized that I was looking at his OBP (over .300) and not his BA. lol

From a real life trying to winning baseball games perspective, Blomquist in LF is like putting a slower, less talented of Carlos Gomez in LF

who struck out to end the game today (w/ tying run on 2nd)?
Sorry Jack buddy, I can empathiszie from a fantasy perspective, but Parra is far better. Willie's a great team guy, plays everywhere but Catcher & Pitcher, but he's just not an everyday player, despite his hot start.

There's no stopping Willie, and you can't contain him. Another SB. Run, Willie, run!

And, in the meanwhile, being the Holliday to the Pujols-like Bloomquist, Jack Wilson steals his third base of the season.
