Seriously, is there a bigger p*ssy in the universe than Youk? He misses games every single week.

Ow, I hurt my hip!

Ow, my wrist!

Ow, I'm sick!

Ow, my tampon's on too tight!

I think the only thing left for Youk is paternity (maternity) leave

Man up Loser!! Morneau is up there, he missed nearly an entire year including the playoffs because of a headache. I know concussions can be serious and each one if different, but come on..he's a former hockey player and you can't even swing a bat for 8 months because you got hit in the head.

All I know is Jed Lowrie should have 3B eligibility by the end of the week :D

In a good year, he misses 15-20 games, which is why he's never hit 30 HRs and had 100 RBIs once (and more than 83 RBIs twice). You sorta know what you're getting.

He was doomed as soon as they traded for Gonzalez.

Players who have missed/will miss a significant amount of time in 2011:

Eval Longoria

Ryan Zimmerman

Pablo Sandoval

David Freese

Scott Rolen

Casey Blake

Ty Wigginton

Chipper Jones

Players off to slow/terrible starts:

Pedro Alvarez

Ian Stewart

Jose Lopez

Chris Johnson

Casey Mcgehee

Mark Reynolds

Kevin Kouzmanoff

Jose Bautista off to a tremendous start and now dealing with a stiff neck. Uh oh...

Third base is cursed this year. Sorry, Youk owners.

From Rotoworld:

"Kevin Youkilis suffered a left thumb contusion in Boston's Thursday loss to the Angels.

That's the same thumb that has been bothering Youkilis for some time now. He was evaluated after yesterday's game, but did not meet with reporters afterward. Youk has dealt with a number of minor injuries this season, and should be considered questionable for Boston's Friday evening tilt with the Twins."

Are you kidding me??? Mark my words, this girly-man will never see the inside of my rosters from the end of this year forward.

Youkilis gets dinged up because he plays the game hard, as it should be played. Not many third baseman would even have covered second base on that play. Just my dos centavos, Glenn, no harm intended.

Youk trying on his new uniform....

Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

Players get nicked up all the time, especially third basemen in 2011.

My bad; I was just looking for a funny picture. Good that Mr. Wright is involved with helping others!

Youk probably bruised his hand during the high five and ended up day-to-day for a week.

Tell us how you really feel, Glenn! :D

This does beg the question of why you drafted him though. IMHO he is usually over-drafted relative to his production. Sure, re-gaining 3B eligibility sounded nice, but it's a much more demanding position in terms of wear & tear.

As a Red Sox fan, I love him. As a fantasy player, he hasn't been on any of my teams for the last two or three years.

My guess is that you won't be complaining when (if) the Sox offense ever gets rolling. Adding Mr. Reyes at the trade deadline will help too.

I've read a couple different articles now suggesting Reyes could go to Boston. With Lowrie hitting as well as he has, and Iglesias waiting in the wings I just can't see it. Not to mention Boston spent a ton of money already this year. Anyone else see it happening?
