How was he able to be picked up last week in faab?

Was he on the team but on the bench?

Please answer?

Please answer? As Tom answered via email, he was originally drafted in your league, cut and picked up last week. I believe this is Atlantic City 1. You are able to pick up a player who was drafted. All of those players remain in your player pool all year long.
