Nice to finally meet you last weekend, Mr. Crane. I thought our auction was a blast.
I hear what you are saying about prices, but I don't think it is a Bellagio issue. Sure they are upscale, but the food overall in Vegas, which used to be a selling point, has taken a BIG dive. Every buffet (and yes, I see quite a few

) served plastic eggs and roadkill bacon. For the pleasure, $12+ bucks please. $6 bucks extra if you want OJ.
I have no problem paying for quality food, but paying quality prices for high school lunch room food is tough. Not the NFBC fault of course, but Vegas as a whole needs to bring back the cheap, but good food back! I totally agree Wayne. Do you remember when Vegas hotels tried to lure you into their casinos with $1.99 steak and eggs meals? Damn, those were the days. How many times did we all play hours of blackjack, go upstairs to eat steak and eggs for a couple of bucks and then go back downstairs to gamble. That doesn't happen anymore.
As for the Bellagio, after seeing the prices now you know how much it cost us for each buffet. But I thought it was worth it. We'll start a thread soon to get feedback on all of that, but the last thing we wanted was to have our auction guys or main event guys or Diamond guys trying to run through the Bellagio looking for a snack and then paying $10 for a Snickers bar or $25 for a club sandwich. Having food nearby was almost essential if you're drafting at the Bellagio. And I thought the food was fantastic (okay, the pizza wasn't the best) and trust me I ate at the ISC, the main event, the Diamond League, the Ultimate Auction League and everything else!!

I need to go lose weight now!!
