Big TEX!

Finally a night I could be proud of from him...not to sound selfish but it was about damn time!
Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

YES!!! Finally a time when all the teams that took him in the first round can be happy. It's not fun to see your first round pick with 9 HR at the break. I hope this is a sign of BIG TEX! to heat up in the 2nd half. Congrats to all Tex owners!

Sorry, Teix owners, but don't expect more of the same very soon....

As part of my "pay" for the stuff I do for Insiderbaseball.com I was fortunate to be in a seat right next to the owners' box, which is within spitting distance of the on-deck circle, for the first-ever Team USA game in the WBC. Being that close to Teixeira a couple of times, my observation was that the kid is soft as a marshmallow, might not even be shaving yet...seriously, I couldn't fathom that the stats he put up in the past were for real

Don't be surprised if he goes back to being a .250 singles hitter the rest of the way, not reaching 25 HR, and fades away quickly as an early-round Roto option by never hitting even 20 dingers again the rest of his career :(

That had to be the worse endorsement for your website insiderbaseball.com It must be a site where you judge players by their looks.
