Furcal goes down

Post by ToyCannon » Thu Mar 22, 2007 7:23 am

Left ankle sprain when Repko unaware that he was in a meaningless ST game takes out the Dodger MVP with a slide after Furcal made an over the shoulder catch. Xrays being taken.

If Bay hadn't dropped to me in 3rd round he'd be on my roster. Luck is so much a part of this game.

Furcal goes down

WTF!?!

Shortstop Rafael Furcal injured his left ankle after colliding with center fielder Jason Repko while they chased Corey Patterson's blooper and was taken to a hospital for X-rays.

Furcal writhed in pain after the play and was taken from the field on a mechanized cart.

Dodger Radio is reporting that he will only miss one week so were looking at a moderate sprain with nothing serious. In 2003 he also sprained his ankle in March and had a stellar season. Potential crisis appears to have been averted. Dodger fans and bagholders of Furcal rejoice.

I heard they were going to have to amputate! All those who own Furcal better drop him fast into the FA pool! ;)
Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.
