Sabathia hit on wrist

Post by Raskol » Wed Mar 28, 2007 6:59 am

per ESPN...Glad I didn't draft him.

Cleveland Indians ace C.C. Sabathia was struck on the left wrist by a line drive Wednesday in the first inning of his final spring training start, against the Toronto Blue Jays.

Sabathia, scheduled to pitch the Indians' opener next week in Chicago, couldn't shield himself from the hard shot off the bat of Reed Johnson on the left-hander's second pitch of the game.

Indians coaches and trainers sprinted from the dugout to the mound to assist Sabathia, who shook his hand and shouted a loud profanity. He was immediately taken to the clubhouse to assess his condition.
If you're going to be crazy, you have to get paid for it or else you're going to be locked up.--Hunter S. Thompson

Just read that x-rays were negative and he's most likely day to day (but aren't we all?). Anyway, he may miss or start or two but as of right now it looks like nothing major.

You probably won't be saying that in September.
