This is ridiculous!!!! Removing your 27 year old proven ace to become a set-up man!!! If this was Charlie Manuel's call he should be fired today! I wish that reporter would have knocked his lights out.

If i lived in Philly I would go knock his lights out myself!

I wish he broke his arm carrying groceries up his stairs, or fell getting out of the shower. At least I knew that was baseball and injuries happen. But to move your ace to set-up duties!

Is Schandler gonna add a section in his book next year for risk associated for STUPID Mgmt!

Can NFBC owners of Brett Myers replace him this weekend under the "Friday Crappy Organizational Decision Rule"?

Is that the same Pat Gillick that built the Bluejays, I was very high on Myers coming in to the season and still was- until that.

Really sucks for the guys who have him, terrible decision.

In his first start, Myers made it through the seventh, had thrown 95 or so pitches, and was due to lead off in the bottom of the inning. CM leaves him in, he ends up drawing a walk and CM still leaves him in. He ends up running the bases including going from first to third on a single, but ends up stranded at third. In short, no rest. He comes out in the eighth, gets two more outs, then gets tagged. CM finally replaces him, but two runs are charge to him and he cannot get the win. Brillant manager moves.

Now this. No, I do not have him, but I do have Eaton and I am still scratching my head. Let's see. Lieber. Old soft tosser with fly ball tendencies playing his home games in Philly or prime age pitcher with a live arm. Yep. I'm going with Lieber! Stupid.

Fans and talk show hosts on Philly's all sports radio 610 WIP have been ultra-critical of Charlie Manuel's managing strategies almost from the time he first got to Philadelphia. I can only imagine what they're saying on the airwaves now.

Forget about Myers' owners, what about Myers' wife?

I'm not sure of the relevance of whether or not Myers is on your NFBC roster. I believe I was in the majority of owners who was hoping to land Myers in the right spot.

I think factoring in "organizational stupidity" (I prefer the term "organizational trends" as it is all inclusive) is part of the draft. I knew Philly had talked about moving Myers out of the rotation, but I couldn't fathom that level of stupidity.

I see this as simply a tough break for Myers owners. But, there's always hope they'll continue the trend and trade Myers to the Yankees for another kick in the nuts. The tingling from the Abreu trade might have worn off.
