2008 mock draft

Post by Sheep » Mon Oct 22, 2007 5:30 am

I would like to go beyond 15 rounds as my next five picks will be based on who I believe I can get after round 15. At this point every team looks like it would contend - "if you don't see the dead money you must be it" - so I would really like to get out to 20 rounds so I could get solid projection from an outside source like Shandler to get an idea where my draft fell.
Main C3-pick#12 Crawford/Upton/Mags/Guillen/Chipper/Zimmerman/Del Young

Lets go 23 and field an active team within those 23 picks- anyone object?

the only thing i would ask is- (and this is the same as mocks), if you are close to being up- and won't be around- send someone your picks. eli could have sent that next pick to someone. if you don't want to send anyone your picks- at least post "gone for a day" so those of us that would like to be prompt- don't have to keep checking back. thanks

Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

oh well sheep- you missed that other 60 steal guy. that one may steal 100- if he can get on base 110 times. he may also be on the bench by May if he doesn't hit.

Maybe I'm being a bit over anxious. There was talk of starting another mock after this one. Since this is going pretty slow, how bout starting another one now and running 2 simaltaniously? There could even be new entrants. John D. has said he's going on vaction and while I would like to do the next mock also, if there are others that would like my spot I could give it up also. Please decide on my spot now though since I would like to try an early pick if I'm in the next one also. If not I'm good with going 23 rounds in the current draft either way.

Vander why not start the new one on the mock draft thread and let people KDS spots to begin with I will take spot 7.

As far as speed outside of Spyhunter consistently taking too long this one has moved quite fast for the most part IMO.
