22-4 M Barrett (Final hitter)

Per Mr. James Sheep offense:

7,151 AB's: .287 - 269 - 1069 - 1041 - 176

I expect to get around another 450-500 AB's, which will lower my BA (.284) and increase runs and RBI's by 30+

22.05 ....whatever young OF you want to insert I'll say Justin Upton for the sake of the mock, although there's quite a few intriguing OF to be picked here.....some will shine and some will surely fail. A few will help many teams to fantasy titles this season.

I've cleaned my apartment and shaved my sideburns so maybe I'm "spongeworthy" and can trade thoughts on some of these OF with the trio mentioned before??

At 22.08, Troy Percival (RP) Tampa Bay Rays...I could be wrong, but I don't see him on a roster yet.

Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

Looks like round 22 in 50% catchers. ;)

I wasn't expecting that to happen to round 23.

How about a pair of Mets to round this out Ryan Church and Carlos Gomez.

Helton

Ad Gonzalez

Mark Reynolds

Hanley

L Castillo

Furcal

Manny

Dunn

Cameron

Winn

Church

C Gomez

Harang

Hudson

Lowe

Harden

Unit

Homer Bailey

Andrew Miller

Izzy

Todd Jones

Not my finest work- I think it is a top 5 offense and may have a shot at a top finish in batting avg even with Dunn and Cameron.

Pitching could be downright scary if Harden does nothing, Unit does nothing, and Homer Bailey/Andrew Miller do not mature.

You already commented on the injury potential with Harden and Unit, but I like the mix of veteran/youth as well as High Octane to steady innings eaters with good ERA/WHIP on good teams for your SP.

I think your relievers and OF's on this team would have the greatest chance to break your heart.

This team would only kick my butt by 8 or 10 points rather than your usual 15 or 20.

Final team for the 1st Mock...

RD# LN FN POS

1 Pujols A 1B

12 Blalock H 3B

15 Overbay L 1B

3 Roberts B 2B

10 Hardy JJ SS

16 Ellis M 2B

2 Rios A OF

6 Jones A OF

7 Rowand A OF

8 Patterson C OF

19 Nady X OF

22 Molina Y C

23 Ruiz C C

21 Wilkerson B 1B

4 Webb B SP

9 Escobar K SP

13 Blanton J SP

14 Arroyo B SP

17 Bush D SP

18 James C SP

20 Millwood K SP

5 Cordero F CL

11 Lidge B CL

I like my SP though I probably value James and Millwood more than most. I got Lidge before the trade, but CL look as solid as CL can.

Patterson, Wilkerson, Jones could make this a BA challenged team. Do not know if Nady or Wilkerson will have fulltime gigs next year. About half the offense had "down" years last year so this is pretty much a rebound team. Overall grade? Ehhh!
