RSN must be in the lobby at the Opryland Hotel in Nashville. Trust me RSN, if it happens you'll just feel it...

I get the feeling that the Twins are a little jealous of the Marlins haul in one negotiating day. Its taken the Twins weeks to try and squeeze as much as they can from the rich and still not a package that measures up. Maybe another team swoops in again?

Believe me Dan, I've bee searching the skies looking for that hawk and I don't see him out there. Twins may realize the Sox are the only game in town. Time will tell.

At 23.08, Kettleers select the One-Man ERA-WHIP Wrecking crew of Daniel Cabrera (SP) Baltimore Orioles...because RSN needs a player and I need a Pitcher. Being a Red Sox fan, if they get Johan without surrendering Ellsbury or Buchholz then that's ....that's just STEALING!!!

23.10 Nate Robertson

With that Tiger offense I could take my 72 mph heater and scrap out 12 wins.

Here is what Mock Stevieland looks like:

Varitek C

Soto C

A. Laroche 1B

Figgins 3B

A. Laroche CI

Cano 2B

Betancourt SS

Kendrick MI

Berkman OF

Wells OF

Matthews Jr. OF

Ellsbury OF

Fukudome OF

Thome DH

J. Santana

Halladay

O. Hernandez

Owings

Westbrook

Robertson

Chamberlain

Gregg

Papelbon

I'd grade it out as a C. Not enough middle of the order thump. A decent balance of young/old. Berkman & Figgins versatility helps offset tying up the DH slot. Some ??? in regards to Andy Laroche, Joba, and Fukudome's role/pt. Gregg may have just lost ten saves with the Marlins deal. But otherwise I could dance with this staff. But not enough guys in RBI spots on offense. Thats my self analysis, plenty of room for improvement.

Here's my team along with projections. I know they will look high to many, because.....well they are, I only select good players .

Overall, if this team could avoid major injuries and find a SB/AVG player, as well as another closer, it would be top notch IMO. I know there's some major downside, but 6 months is a long time to help piece together the missing pieces.

I will say, if Stewart plays 2B this season, this team would have one of the best middle infields in fantasy.

C--Brian McCann

C--Kenji Johjima

1B-Mike Jacobs

2B-Chase Utley

3B-Kevin Kouzmanoff

SS-Khalil Greene

MI-B.J. Upton

CI-Alex Gordon

OF-Shane Victorino

OF-Josh Fields

OF-Jack Cust

OF-Wily Mo Pena

OF-Justin Upton

UTL-Ian Stewart

AVG-281

RBI-1054

R---1078

HR--303

SB--149

Erik Bedard

Scott Kazmir

James Shields

Zack Greinke

Jon Lester

Ian Kennedy

Manny Parra

Jonathan Broxton

Billy Wagner

W--93

S--50

K--1283

WHIP-1.261

ERA--3.717

Thanks to all who participated and for letting me participate.

Opinions/comments appreciated.

I'd lay 10:1 this team won't hit 281.

R Betancourt

Per Mr. James 86 wins 69 saves 3.76 1.26 1,137 k's

Pudge

Barrett

Howard

Crede

Fielder

Iwamura

Lugo

S Drew

Mags

Delmon

Taveras

R Davis

Milledge

Hafner

.287 269 HR 1,069 Runs 1,041 RBI 176 Steals (James' numbers)

Sheets, Young, Lilly, Bonderman, Baker, Willis

Rivera, Borowski, Betancourt

Steals are shockingly high as I had under 10 after my first four hitters.

Wouldn't have taken the last couple picks this early if we didn't have fill a full roster in 23 rounds.

Overall, not a bad first pass. I'll give myself a C+. Your thoughts?

[/QUOTE]I'm not criticizing your team at all. I think you did a nice job for the first mock. I know I made some mistakes that I'll try to correct as time goes on. You have plenty of power, nice pitching although you may need to find another sp, especially one that can get you some W's. You need to hope TB can put up more W's than they ever have before, but I think htere's a good chance of that. i could even predict they'd win a division if they were in a weak division. Not in the A.L. east. I do think this team is ba challenged and may be short on speed also. I know your high on B.J., but he'd have to steal over 50 to get to 149 as a team I think. And 149 is a little low as a team total. Your a good drafter and should be a tough contender in your league. As Chest might include try to stay a bit more conservative on your TB picks. In other words don't expect too much from them. A better year yes. The new Yankee's, ah well, I don't know about that. Just mho.
