Wow the forecaster is in, how about Bonderman he destroyed my ultimate team.Could have had Sabbathia or Lackey and took the clock down to the end.Went with the 202 strike outs but should have stayed away from the high era [i think over 4.00] its funny how one pick can change so much.

Got mine yesterday as well. I have already gotten the "...if you try to tell me about ONE more baseball player, you are on the COUCH..." look from my wife.
Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

I will give it to Shandler, he will go out on a limb. I will also take the under. Even if you (like me) question whether or not he should be the staff anchor, he is certainly a strong #2.

For my friend GLU, did you notice where he had James Shields? #15 I think.

[/QUOTE]You guys crack me up. Everyone laughed at me for saying the same exact thing a week ago. Now everyone is dropping him on their draft board. I have to get in a November league.

Aha! I assumed it was part of the sign up package, but if it costs me money I don't want it. Shandler is overrated if you ask me.

Overrated, genius it doesen't matter what you think of him or his theories he is a must read for anybody that is serious about doing well in the NFBC. Here's why, if you read it and buy into it, it'll open doors that will lead the reader in directions that were considered closed before. If you read it and don't buy into it, you're going to get insight into what, I'm guessing, 20-25 percent of your competitors are going to follow pretty closely. I've said it before, read it as if you're a Pepsi-Cola exec who has just intercepted a memo from Coca-cola.

All information is good information (even Gekko's) as long as you use it correctly.

Never said everything he wrote was worthless and yes you can take even the smallest, yet very important thing from everything you read. He simply(maybe the wrong word) takes what analysis most of us can do on our own and puts creative overanalyzed acronyms on them, PQS, DOM/DIS, BPI, etc. He is an amazing man with all of his statistical analysis, but I don't and will never put that much weight in his work.

Ron - you do fine work. Don't let a couple hard heads get to you.

Btw, will you be in York, PA in february for the baseball panel? That was a good time last year.
