Overall i like this team , can use some breaks like crisp[playing time]Ankiel [playing time]

Staters b+

Bullpen A-

Speed b-

Power c+

Catching C-

pICKS I LIKE Tex a great 2nd round pick.

Wiggy and Greinke like both where you drafted them.

Gallardo nice.

Dont like Soraino at pick 12th would have taken someone else.

Crisp needs to leave boston or 4th of.

Pedroia kind of high.

Tejada a lot on his mind, brother gone.

Still overall a solid B.

The more I see santana get pushed down to the 2nd round, the more I like the end of the draft. hmmm...

Lance - give me santana in the 2nd, and I'll be locking up another league title. Book it.

However I do agree with you - what a sweet start to a draft this year - picking up Johan at 2-3 or 2-4 yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm :D

I see power being pretty good. AVG however will be bad, and there are obviously some holes, which maybe the next 7 rounds would've sealed somehow.

I was amazed to see Utley at 1-11 and Johan at 2-5. From there, I thought it was pretty simple.

SS is decidely thinner after the top three, so I was thinking you might be able to find a CM (or OF for that matter as Berkman also qualifies at 1B) that could outpoint Peralta. IMHO, Utley/Guillen/Hill is much stronger than Utley/Peralta/Hill. What other 1B (or OF) was available in the 11th? Just thoughts.

Wayne,

Thanks for your thoughts. There was a run on CM - hence, my draft of Reynolds a couple of rounds earlier than I would have liked. OF was thin too, as evidenced by an unknown quantity like Fukudome being the best option in the next round.

By the way, is there any way to say "Fukudome" without having my mom return from the grave to wash my mouth out with soap?

1 - Soriano- I like this pick- 9th? Upside is excellent. You can get Hanley type numbers from many spots lower in the round.(but he is a dog in real life)

2 - Tex- Solid, little risk 2nd pick- NICE.

Team looking good in all OF categoires so far

3 - Abreu- Aonther good pick. Lots of upside- in a good year he can be a 1st rounder due to the power/speed combo

4 - Papelbon- First pitcher and best closer in the game.

5 - Kazmir- Very nice anchor

6 - Tejada- Not what he once was, but this is the 6th round and again there is upside. Nice value pick.

7 - Shields- Under rated and could be break out pitcher of the year in the AL

8 - Gallardo- NOT under rated and could be break out pitcher of the year in the NL

9 - Capps- 2nd closer - Pen looks Solid

10 - Encarnacion- great power upside in a GOOD lineup.

11 - Pedroia- Nice 2b at this spot. He wont hurt you.

12 - Francis- Up and down at best.

13 - Lugo- great speed pick and upside on BA. Nice Pick!!

14 - Wigginton- Im not a believer, but so far he has been a quality major league ball player

15 - Crisp- Does he play?

16 - Greinke- Sleeper? is this the year and a good answer to the week #3 Gekko question.

17 - Votto -Great propspect- I hate Dusty.

18 - Nady- Can you time his streaks?

19 - Ankiel- Great story tainted by roid allegeations

20 - Bard. Platoon

21 - Napoli- popular sleeper pick

22 - Owings- Flyer could pay off. On a good team.

23 - Villanueva- Who?

This team has a real good shot- But 60% of this game is luck.

R1P7 Utley- David Wright type numbers from 2nd base (maybe be better)

R2P9 Berkman- Awesome when he is right and multi positional

R3P7 Abreu- Ditto what I said on the last Mock

R4P9 C Guillen (1B)- Another Multi positional guy who is a stand out player when not on the disabled list

R5P7 Zimmerman- Can be a stand out player

R6P9 C Young (P)- real good, but is he really an Ace? I rather have the OFer

R7P7 Cain- Great talent on a bad team

R8P9 R Soriano- he throw Beebees

R9P7 Lincecum- Most talented of all. What are the odds in Vegas on the Giants? They can't score but they have some potentially dominating pitching!!

R10P9 Saltalamacchia- A lot to prove. can he walk the walk?

R11P7 J Peralta (SS)- Popular bust pick

R12P9 Fukudome- Who knows? I can't figure out the imports from Asia

R13P7 Reynolds (CN) Mark? You needed the position

R14P9 B Wilson (RP)- Closer?

R15P7 A Hill (MI)- Love this pick in this spot

R16P9 Harden- health always and issue

R17P7 Maybin- Blue chip prospect. Marlins always have a few.

R18P9 Buck- Hard nose player

R19P7 Buehrle- High upside in round 19

R20P9 Pie- wild card, another Dusty issue

R21P7 Shawn Hill- he's good, Big park- nice wire pick up last year, but not even close to being the best Hill

R22P9 Baez- Closer?

This team also has a shot at a prize

Who am I to disagree with a guy this accomplished in his yahoo league.

Pie- I was unaware Dusty Baker still managed the Cubs

Hill- silly me I thought the Nats were moving out of RFK this year

Baez- I once again was confused and thought Baez was out for the year with an injury.

Much more solid effort than the last time Marv- I think you took R Soriano a little early he is trending about 2 rounds later but he is a guy you have to like if he can stay healthy.

Thanks Chester in any case I got the sentiment right on all three. You must award some points on style and I did it quick. Not one positive thing to say about?

Dub, haven't you learned yet? In February, we are ALL "lords of fantasy baseball."

As for you, Mr. Rockwell, remember: you could argue that Danys Baez is out for the year, but you'd be right.

My friends call me kent you should just address me as Mr Rockwell.

On a more serious note you may want to save your money if you do not know who the manager of the Cubs is, where the Nats play, or what pitchers are out for the year.. Just a little advice between us girls.
