B- Schmidt(30) Hope no one gets offended, but I think this is a good team. The offensive is based on solid major leaguers with good track records including several guys coming off injury years or in good, new cities. I am scared of Tejada myself, more because of the mental pressure he must be under, but that may be more of a personal preference than substantive arguement. I agree with Headhunters that SB may be a bit of a drag (hard to imagine after anchoring with Crawford), but you did a much better job of beefing up power that I did in my last mock. Hall and Varitek will be a drain on your BA, but you knew that.

IMHO, you do not have a staff "ace" by 2008 standards, but both Hill and Cain, by the end of the season, may be looked upon in that light by the end of the season, so you may be ahead of the curve there. A couple of the other pitchers may challenge you WHIP, but if one or two of your reclaimation projects can give you some good numbers, pitching should be a strength. Alternating your third closer in and out with a hot starter can protect your saves, k's and w's.

i doubt you know what anal retentive means. in fact- i would bet on it. post that also. so you know 1st base is part of the infield but left it out of your rating for the sake of brevity? i don't know whether to laugh or cry

Catching is weak, 1B is a prayer. Your infield is excellent. Other than Crawford, OF is not good, but its very thin this year in general. Offense get a 5 out of 10.

Pitching: Wins and ERA may be suspect. Middle of the road on ks. Bullpen is very nice, though. Pitching gets a 5 out of 10

Bench- Solid- 8 out of 10

Overall, team lacks any upside. Good enough for 6th place. Original post!!!

you weren't attacked. 9-11 was an attack. from where i sat the pitching evaluation you gave was fine because you were more specific to fantasy points. infield out field catcher- weak solid etc- what diff. does it make. it is how it adds up. if i was gonna evaluate it- i would add up what i or someone has projected and look at where the #'s fell. i would also grade on flexiblty because i think you need it. i don't grade peoples drafts because i am not that great a fantasy baseball player. sure i have done great in my one "home league"- but not here. read crazies evaluation- thats how it is done. he is your buddy- learn from him.

But I didn't ask you to critique how i critique! The person put their draft out there to be evaluated. There was no reference to a specific person. I gave mine, you didn't like it and acted like a little.....

Crazy and I agree on some fundimentals, but we disagree way more than we agree. What can I say, he is a much better critiquer than I.

One thing I am pretty certain that we will agree on is-you.

dub- i was i was referring to konerko with the 35 homers etc. admit i am not the best typist- but i meant those #'s for konerko. yes- i do believe overbay is easier to project than others. not everyone obviously, but most. as far as winning the $. yep did not win any last year. most people that play won't win $. in fact, unless you win the $100- this should be treated as a hobbie. one thing i do know is- can't win if you don't play. overbay- if healthy= 90 20 80 .285 or so. sorry for the confusion.

Look Dub, I'm not here to argue or anything, but headhunters is a good guy.. can't say Chest seems like a nice guy, but maybe that's cuz he is more "honest" than most hah.. anyhow, headhunter never attacked you... you just came off a bit as a know-it-all, which is fine once you have garnered respect like some people here, but you need results first... perhaps there are other reasons you don't get invited to parties... but anyhow, I'm not against you so don't say I'm attacking you cuz I'm not.

I think the team is solid as well. Do I think it wins the league? No. But it could. It can certainly finish better than 6th. That said there's no chance I'd draft that team.. I require more upside from more players, but I don't think there's many bad picks at all, very safe/solid. The bench is excellent also. I'd rate the overall team a 7.5/10

also, to be honest, konerko might not do those #'s but he has and he can. not trying to be a smart ass- but maybe i am missing something with paulie. why can't he? crazy made a nice post about proud players like albert rebounding. i think konerko is like that. he is really, really hard on himself- and it hurts him sometimes. if he gets off to a good start- lookout. swisher and thome get on base a lot. konerko batted a lot of times last year with no one on base. i think he will find many more rbi opportunities this year. btw- i remember defending crazy last year. i thought he knew what he was talking about.

And lets face it, deep down all of you would not draft that team because you think you can do better- So do I-much better. In fact, I would cry myself to sleep if I walk away with a team like that.

If this is a good team- I think I will do well here. We will see.

Now as far as garnering respect- it is what it is...

I wasn't completely prepared and made LOTS of mistakes that I have learned from. Basically I'm just saying don't come in like you own the place, arright?

Yeah, I would be sad if I drafted that team, no doubt. But let your playing do the talking. Not that I'm anythign special here yet, but I plan to be.. and I will show that by my playing. I don't know how old you are but I'm guessing around my age... it can be tough here because obviously younger players are WAY outnumbered.. I'm probably the second-youngest player playing here. But there's plenty of good guys here who are willign to help if you listen.. I have learned a TON... you will too in time if you want to. Oh, and Chest, I'm sure you're a nice guy... just basing what I said on some of your responses was all. My apologies.
