Shandler says he doesen't consider a pitcher till the eighth round. Could YOU win the NFBC using this strategy? poodles.

no (and i don't think anyone can).
So in other words, if you can't do it, nobody can.

Of course it can be done. Bedard & Shields were just 2 P's who could have been picked 8th or after in constructing a starting squad.
See my earlier post jack. Very few people would have the balls to attempt it. Less people attempting it means, less chance it happens.

How easy/hard is it to capture video, edit video, and upload it to YouTube?

Are you happy with the HD camera you bought, and would you recommend it?

~Lance Edit takes the longest by far. The one I shot in the kitchen was easy. It was my 2nd take and it was a straight run

btw, reliever George Sherrill left today's workout with some discomfort in his right hamstring. He grabbed the back of his leg and walked to the trainers room from one of the back fields before receiving treatment.

Gekk,

To attain the elusive Dual Championship Crown you'll have to get past Childs to do it. He has topped you for the last 4 years. What have you done to ramp up your performance this prep season to finally put Childs in your rear view mirror ?

Q my cons from last year include:

1) not knowing the player pool well enough

2) spending my faab too early in the season

i worked on addressing #1 in the offseason. #2 will be a work in progress.

you want to know what it takes to beat childs? It takes BRASS BALLS to beat childs! i just ordered mine.

But GG, will you lucky enough to have things like Brandon Phillips drop to the 11th for you?

Marcus...as a Johan loyalist...do you fear any of these things happening?

With seven straight seasons of AL pitching...do you fear any muscles developing from swinging a bat will alter his pitching motion?

Being a very competitive guy, do you fear maybe one time during the season he pulls a muscle sprinting to first, or tweaks an ankle hitting the bases wrong?

How about being hit in the hand by a pitch while attempting to bunt or swing?

I do.

~Lance Things I hadn't considered. I guess I'll have to move Johan down from 5 to 7. Damn. ;)
All kidding aside, NY ain't Minn either. Between the Mets and Yankees I have seen far too many "studs" come out more like "duds" their first season in NY. Pressure. It's real.

OK - So I'm not as good as I thought I was; but at least I am consistent.

I hear you. That pressure is certainly something to consider. But Johan has anchored my teams for 4 years running so it would be hard to turn my back now!!

Unless I'm slotted very high, I still think I'd take him. And let the chips fall where they may.

Mark, any worry that the Met curse strikes again, turning the best pitcher on the planet into a mere mortal (i.e. Juan Samuel and Carlos Baerga)? :--))
