I have been participating in nfbc mock drafts and Matt Kemp has been going in the 4th and 5th rounds. I personally can't see taking a guy that might split some time with Ethier earlier than the 10th round. When do you guys think that Kemp should be drafted?

I've noticed this, too, and am puzzled by it. If Pierre or Ethier were to be hit by a truck, I could see Kemp being worth a high draft pick. As things stand right now, however, he's certainly not worth a 4th or 5th round pick.

You've probably got it right -- 10th or 11th round seems about fair for a potential part-timer.

Those that follow Shandler see that he is ranked well up the Shandler list. Might be the reason. He has the talent to put up round 4/5 stats but I don't see myself taking him that early.
