Why is Jeff Kent getting drafted so late? At the main yesterday, we took him in the 15th round, and in the league next to us he went in the 19th round. (!)
I don't know what I'm missing. 2B is supposedly a scarce position, and the guy bats 3rd in the lineup.

Who is this, robed in splendor, striding forward in the greatness of his strength? “It is I, proclaiming victory, mighty to save.” Isaiah 63:1

Hasn't he had problems with his legs this year? (I want to say hamstrings, but I am not sure)

I'm with you, Mighty. In a keeper draft, I can see him dropping to the late rounds, but I don't get it either. I took him yesterday around the 15th round too. I think he fits in perfectly with Torre's style too.
At 40 at an IF position, health is always an issue, but I'd be quite happy with his #s for 130 games...

I hope so as well. He kept falling and falling in our main event draft so we finally went for it. 1 more year, 1 more year is my new chant

Dodgers manager Joe Torre said Friday that Jeff Kent (hamstring) might not be ready for Opening Day.
it's hard to trust a dusty crusty...

Sanchez may be just a little bit of a wuss.
Last year he was balking because of his leg, flew somewhere to get a 2nd opinion and after verification that his leg was ok, he played without incident.
May be the same deal this year.

Where he was drafted in most leagues gave those owners a bargain. Until the wheels fall off, he's still good enough for 80-20-80 .290ish which is as good or better than 2b getting drafted 8-10 rounds before him!!(pedroia, hill, KJ).

Big ASSumption there. It's cool you don't like the older players, but again, his kind of production as late as he's going is worth the gamble for those teams taking it. Good luck to them.

Maybe that's your problem.
Although I had to chuckle at the Durham reference. Much appreciated.

F.sanchez's comp is a baby bird that fell out of his nest and injured his wing and can't fly now.

I wish Freddy Sanchez read this board. Maybe Ambrosius can send him an invite. I think there are a few important "2nd opinions" about him here. lolol

Notice who Sanchez is going to see. 99% of the people that see him don't see PT for a while.
"Freddy Sanchez has been shut down from activity this weekend and will have his right shoulder examined by noted orthopedist James Andrews in Birmingham, Ala., on Monday."

Tell that to Eli.
Come to think of it, I'm heading to Vegas to lay some money on the Pirates to win it all!

Last year it was Andrews he went to go see for a second opinion, Andrews told him he could play full out. He had a 15 minute surgical procedure last SEPTEMBER. Maybe he's trying to keep Andrews at 99%.
