Pick 15....opinions?

I don't think you have enough speed. I drafted 15 as well and seriously pondered a Tex/Ortiz 1-2 punch. Had I gone that route, I knew I would have been forced to draft a Pierre or Tavares to make up for lack of speed. I only see TheRiot as your top SB guy. And a couple 20 steal guys.

I liked your pitching before the Lackey news. Now, bumping everyone up, it's still pretty solid, but you need Lackey back to accentuate it's strength.

I think you'll have to do some offensive juggling, but overall, except for the speed issue, not bad.

Brother, it was no joke drafting in the 15 spot. Most things I accounted for, but there were a couple things that suprised me.

Hello fellow 15th picker! I'm guessing your draft went something like this:

1/2 Ortiz/Teixeira

3/4 Bedard/Guillen

5/6 Lackey/Nathan

7/8 Beltre/Cordero

9/10 Damon/Burnett

11/12 McGowan/Theriot

13/14 Hudson/Delgado

15/16 Hernandez/Teahen

17/18 Napoli/Baker

Offense looks pretty solid, a little light in steals but excellent power and decent BA. Going to need some kind of return-to-form from Delgado. Bench is a little weak.

There was nothing you could have done about it, but the Lackey injury is what really hurts you. You spent top picks on your pitching, and you need that staff to produce at or near the top of your league. Without Lackey, that becomes much more difficult. You still have Bedard, Burnett and McGowan, but it's a long way to #4...

Overall not the best I've seen, but far from the worst. FAAB will do your team wonders if properly applied.

In Orlando 2 the guy at 15 got Prince and Howard....I thought that was a great way to start off a team

May I ask, who the f*ck was drafted ahead of those 2 to let them fall back to 15-16?

I took a gamble on Pujols before Howard/Prince.....I feel he can hit 50 points higher then Howard.

KofQ, you are pretty close on the order...

1/2 Ortiz/Teixeira

3/4 Bedard/Guillen

5/6 Lackey/Nathan

7/8 Beltre/Damon

9/10 Cordero/Burnett

11/12 McGowan/Theriot

13/14 Hernandez/Delgado

15/16 Hudson/Napoli

17/18 Teahen/Cameron

19/20 Baker/Winn

I agree with the Lackey thing....it sucks, but what can you do?! I went online at 11am and didn't see anything. I still hope the rest of my pitching can keep me high in those categories until he gets back. I think I have decent BA and power, and I have my team projected for 140 steals....30 from Theriot, 20-25 from Damon and a few guys like Hudson, Teahen, Winn, Guillen, Cameron, Beltre chipping in 10-15. I will probably look for a steal guy, but I like spreading out my steals rather than counting on a guy for 50+.

I have to think that finding better OF during the season has to be better than trying to find a 1B or a SS or something like that where the pool is so much smaller.

I just kind of rolled with the draft and pitching fell to me a little more than hitting did. Had I taken Haren instead of Lackey, which I almost did, I would feel great about this bunch. Hopefully Glavine has 6 good weeks in him before his arm falls off!

I'd be shocked if another league had both of those guys available for picks 15 and 16.
