Homerun sleepers

Post by wozturbo » Sat Mar 22, 2008 5:15 am

Anyone have a homerun sleeper for just a homerun pool. I'm not talking about top 100 guys or so. Maybe a AAA guy who could step in. For instance Pujols' back-up when he goes down(if) 22 teams 13 picks each 286 picks- thanks in advance!

Thanks guys: Took Pearce in 12th round as my sleeper. Also took Snyder in 7th. 13th round picked Felipe Lopez - possible trade to Cubs? Could hit 18-20+ in Chicago? I like the good talk about Luke Scott and Broussard, I have them in another HR pool.

Franklin Guttierez - He will top 20 hr's

Ryan Shealy - he'll get enough playing time to hit 20

Elijah Dukes - Willie Mo has opened the door for Dukes

Shelley Duncan - I see enough playing time for him to mash 20

All these mediocre hitters going for 30 hr's.

Who is throwing them?

Is this a hitters year?

Pearce/Snyder/F Lopez was in a homerun pool only. That would be throwing money away if I took them in Main Event. My Main Event team:

J. Mauer

A. Pierzynski- catchers

D. Barton-1b

J. Loney-1b

D. Uggla-2b

J. Lopez-seattle 2b

T. Glaus-3b

J. Rollins-ss-(1)

X. Nady-of

B. Hall-of-3b

I. Suzuki-of-(3)

G. Matthews Jr.--of

V. Guerrero-of-(2)

F. Pie--of

J. Edmonds---of

K. Lofton---of

J. Hardy-ss -mi

J. Hannahan-3b

M. Reynolds-3b-ci-util

J. Clement-bench

H. Okajima----------pitchers

A. Reyes

B. Fuentes

J. Beckett-(5)

C. Cordero-closer

R. Johnson-

B. Penny

F. Carmona

J. Papelbon-closer-(4)

J. Lieber-

what do you think - injury concerns?
