Josh looked good for four innings, but was gassed for the 5th. Francona left him in after a walk to Rios to face Wells, who owns Beckett (and had already homered). Beckett walked Wells on 4 pitches to load the bases, then Delcarmen gives up the grand slam to Big Frank.
The numbers look abysmal, but Beckett consistently threw in the mid to high 90s. Beckett owners, don't despair!

I'm not 100%...but I think Josh could have also given up the home run...in a worst case scenario.
Nice pitching change.
I though he was avoiding Wells to get to Thomas, myself.

He did look good, but was pitching in a place that has given him fits, and against a VERY good team (Toronto).
I agree he will be fine.

[/QUOTE]There are a hell of a lot better than Detroit, Philadelphia, NY Mets, NY Yankess, Colorado, etc. RIGHT NOW.
They scored 23 runs in the weekend Boston series. In comparison Colorado has scored 10 runs in SIX games!!!
I might be new to FANTASY baseball, but I know baseball is a game of streaks, and right now, Toronto is playing VERY well.
You can't just go on what the media says Mark.

Toronto is legit. Halladay-Burnett-McGowan-Marcum and a very good bullpen.
If Burnett stays healthy they can win 90 games. The Rays are a .500 team too. Besides the Orioles the AL East is the deepest it has been in years. I'd love to see Toronto or TB in the NL Central or West. They would make playoff runs.
Anyways the Red Sox are the team to beat regardless of the hiccup this weekend! Off to the Championship ceremony,,,,
