Anyone lucky enough to have started Big Ben this week with his 3HR and 8RBI? I see Rick Thomas is doing fine even with him on his bench. He would have one third of my teams totals if I had him. LOL

I started him in LV1.

He was one of my sleeper picks for the year as I assume he was for many owners. I took him 5 rounds ahead of ADP in R22 to make sure I got him.

Hopefully he keeps it up and is not a 1 week wonder.

Yes, I have him in both my NFBC Leagues and the 3/8 is very nice, but I am also VERY concerned with the 4 hits, .190 BA and .261 OBP. Those kinds of mixed numbers put players jobs at risk.
Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

The interesting thing is he's hitting them off lefties, whom he usually sucks against - so at the very least he might even buy himself a few more at-bats.

Over the last three years he has only had around 150 ab's vs. lefties, hitting .209 with 6 hr's.

Worst case scenario is that it drags down his average a bit.

Best case scenario, Carlos Pena.
