Apparentely in the midst of his stellar performance he injured an ankle and had to leave the game. That would be a big blow to teams and make Shields or Speier very valuable all of a sudden.

Speaking of stellar performances I have Joe Borowski and Jose Valverde! Somehow over the last day I have had 5 starters pitch and get 5 wins while pitching 36 innings and allow 4er, with 32 baserunners, but my pen has combined in that time to go 3.2ip with 8er and 12 baserunners, yippee for me!!!!! I was all jazzed thinking I was going to luck into a win for Betancourt and a save for Joe Blow, but to no avail, Hunter did me in twice in a matter of ten minutes, ouch!!!!

That's beyond ouch. Borowski and Todd Jones definitely have incriminating evidence on upper management.
For what it's worth, it was nice to see the next great closer, Lowe, blow, or rather, fail to close out a King Felix victory yesterday. That stung just a bit.

I caught myself "Micro-rooting" last night...hoping the RAYS got another guy on base so Mariano could come in for one out and get a Save!

Hope KRod does not hit the DL, my draft plan of locking up 2 solid closers is killing me right now. First Putz and now Krod! Next C.J Wilson will lose his job and I'll be left with no closers. And to think I thought I had 80-100 saves in the bag HA!

Hope it is not de ja veux all over again!

Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

That's an awesome line right there! Love it.

The Los Angeles Times reports that X-rays on Francisco Rodriguez's sprained right ankle were "normal" Tuesday, but he "will be sidelined for at least three days while the Angels evaluate the results of an MRI test."
The newspaper reveals that Rodriguez injured his right ankle while coming down the dugout steps Saturday and has been pitching through an injured left ankle since last August.
Ouch.... those dugout steps can be tricky I guess.

~Lance Thanks Lance. Now when my wife or one of my kids say your not listening I can say sorry I was "micro-rooting and it takes all of my focus. Could you imagine trying to explain that to someone who does not play fantasy sports?
