Durham to the Brewers.....

I wonder how Ray Durham going to the Brew Crew is going to effect Rickie Weeks?

As Stan Lee (DC COMICS)would say

As a Weeks owner it can't be good. Weeks scores a ton of runs, steals 20-25 bags, and K's often. His BA of .215 doesn't bode well for playing 95% of the games though his OB % is fairly high because of the walks.

I see 5 of 7 games a week or 4 of 6--so a 10% hit in runs/sb/hr and a plus because my batting average won't sink as low. Still can hope Durham tweaks something or is used in double switches at the end of games to limit the damage.

Bad for weeks.

Bad for durham (unless weeks is benched).

Good for Burriss.

I too am a Weeks owner who will be benching him this week since the Brewers face 6 righties. I know what you mean about the runs and Sbs but the average hurts big time. I finally have team BA to a tad under 270 which also is pretty bad. I picked up Harris of Nats this week who also leads off has speed and is hot right now He is a lefty and Nats face 6 righties plus true Zimmerman and Kearns are no Braun and Fielder but have changed my thinking about playing my mid round picks as of late. Plus Harris is eligible at like every position. Could change my mind with Weeks next week but for this week I will go with Harris.

I ALSO think good for Veliz who will play everywhere.Veliz will have some value especially if he has the green light.I grabbed him for 8 bucks in the main and the runner up bid was 7.I stayed with Weeks in another league over Veliz we will see.

When the manager says a player is only going to be a utility player, I think that is a sign.....plus, Burriss was the one to start at 2B yesterday, if that isn't another sign, I don't know what is.

Velez will obviously play, but he's not the player Burriss is. I've had Burriss on my main team for almost a month now, waiting for him to finally get some playing time.

Nice pickup, GG.....wonder why others didn't follow suit.

I still think Veliz will have more value, remember early in the year when he was going hundreds. His speed is the value but he will need at bats.

Ritchie Weeks just hit a 3run homer. YES

Marty I kept him in there since he's been hitting a "little" better lately, and hoping that Durham might light a fire under him. So far so good. If I'm the Brewers either he starts hitting now or he starts sharing time, which is the same plan I have for him on my team.
