Actually, his brother is Phil, you know, the Irish guy. By the way guys, I know it doesn't affect fantasy, but the Phillies won the world series yesterday, fyi.

The Cano for Kemp trade rumor is entertaining.

Cano has a laissez-faire attitude that doesen't jibe with Girardi's style. He also was the focus and whipping boy when the Yankees slumped through the early days of the season. Fantasy-wise, he lacks speed and doesen't have the power to really be a thought in the first few rounds.

Kemp is a different animal. Kind of like the best athlete in the school trying to learn a new sport, you know he's going to excel, just a matter of time. Torre does not care for Kemp's naivete and not "getting it" in playing the game. In the beginning of the season, Kemp was sat often when Torre decided between him, Pierre, Andruw, and Ethier. Kent is retiring and Torre likes Cano so this deal could have legs.

Fantasy-wise, Kemp could be a monster in the Yankees lineup, possibly replacing Abreu as the number three hitter between Jeter and ARod, making him a speculative first rounder or top of the second rounder.
