Some newsbytes are just so funny on their own-

The Pittsbugh Post Gazette reports that the Pirates "Are finding no suiters" for Jack Wilson and "are set to enter 2009 with him as their everyday shortstop."

I can picture the GM reporting to the owner. "It's confirmed, Sir, for the money, we have the worst shortstop in baseball". The owner responds, "Thanks for finding out, now, lets make sure he starts everyday!"

when I think of teams that dont get it, I think of the Pirates as the absolute worst franchise in baseball on a consistent basis. To have a Jason Bay and X Nady, both under control for 09...that is 300 avg with 55-65 HR and 200 RBI, and get basically other teams cast offs, has been prospects etc is a example

With the pirates you have one of the nicest stadiums in baseball that nobody comes to see.

You have an ownership that spends no money on there team

Pittsburg is just not a baseball city ... Steelers rule.

They should let mark cuban buy that team... baseball in pittsburg is as good as dead.
