So he costs nothing and if he does hit at all, he's a bargain. Maybe he's a 100-1 shot to be a bargain, but I'll take him ahead of that friggen Weider guy antime.

He could be the first guy cut or a type of player that helps you win. CC is fairly good at this game for a reason folks. FUDD Would that be Joe Weider?

I loved his ads on comics when I was a kid. He is 88 now. I don't know what you'd have against him.
FUDD was the 98 lb weakling that had sand kicked in his face in those ads. Fudd's cut on the deal was free ice cream so he lost out Weider's profits.

Move ahead 50 yrs and he's STILL getting sand kicked in his face but now he has to BUY his own ice cream. So yeah dough , he does have some beef with Joe.

but fudd- he was crushing the ball in the afl! last year it was barton and maxwell doing the same. soto comparison not the same. soto lots of time in 3a and hit like hell in his callup. not the same. wedner will go in the 5th round if he kills it in spring training- ya guys are just smoking the ball in there and throwing all their best stuff. right off the bat - no warm ups even. one difference now- as opposed to 40 years ago. when these guys came up- the 1st time they faced gibson- one came right at their head. then we found who could hit.

Twenty years from now Gibson will be replaced by Clemens. In thirty years it will be Pedro and Randy Johnson, forty from now it will be one of today’s young studs (T Lincecum or J Santana)

i disagree- only because i can only comment on what i have seen. pitchers do not pitch inside anywhere near as much as they used to. yes- clemens did and i could have used him. he is more of a rarity now. tv tells you sports don't change and then 2 sentences later they tell you it has. sports have changed- a lot. whether it has been for the good- you can decided. football is an example to the pitching inside. the rules have changed dramaticaly to protect the wideouts and qbs because fans love offense. it is exciting to them- so football rules have been changed to allow for more scoring in less time/ less plays because they need to run more commercials. in baseball many rules have been changed to help the batters. more runs= more fans. at least that is what the #'s tell the marketing people.

Seriously, I don't know this fella name I'm even blabbering about and thats my point. I follow this game as close as one can or so I thought, and that's one guy who won't even be on my draftboard. Watch "Damn Yankees".
Actually in 2001, I was in a NL keeper league where you can't draft minor leagers. I saw Pujols was having a good spring and was not expected to make the team out spring, but he was my last draft pick for 1$. There was an injury opening up a spot for him on the opening day roster so he stuck. He stuck for $1 for 3 years and led me to 2 more 1st's and a 2nd place finish. Maybe thats why I like him. So that's bad expample.

Also, it sounds like you are comparing him (Wepner)to Pujols? What is a good example is that I drafted Tejada, Rum Bay and Mariano Rivera in spot that you are drafting This friggen no name. This is just plain idiotic in a non keeper league. So keep uncoving them and I'll keep bashing in brains of plyers that are too smart for their own good.

Oh, you'll find your diamond after searching for him year after year, but more often than not, that is a recipe for finishing OUT of the money.

Here's hoping you draft Wepner in the 5th.
