I actually bought 1 team for the nfbc online championship although I debated it for awhile because the leagues are 12 teams and not 15. I'd much rather play in a 15-team league.
Anyone else feel this way?? I wonder if there is any chance Greg would consider making this contest into 15-team leagues for next year.

I think thats part of the appeal is they are 12 teams instead of 15.

I don't think you will be seeing these going to 15 teamers. Greg I believe wants to attract some of the more mainstream players who are used to the 12 team structure. Plus with the popularity of the event this year, why change?....you just attracted 600 teams, when you actually thought you would be closer to 300.

Yes, I think the reason is to attract the mainstreamers too. But I just wonder if he wouldn't have had 600 or so sign ups even if the leagues were 15. I could be way off here, but I'm guessing there are hundreds of nfbcers who play in the satellites and not the main for 2 reasons: 1) more affordable entry fee and 2) they don't live near a city hosting the main event and don't want to pay the extra cost to travel to a main event city.
The online event gives many of the satellite-only nfbcers a chance to win a grand prize.
Makes me wonder how many mainstreamers joined the online event and how many were already nfbc members.
