Happy Holidays Everyone!

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Fri Dec 23, 2005 3:47 am

I want to wish everyone in the NFBC family a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Thanks for making 2005 a great, great year and best of luck to everyone in the next year.

This past year has seen a lot of tumultuous events in the world and all of us should count are blessings for what we have today. Nothing should be taken for granted and thus we should give praise for the good health and safety we have today.

I apologize for being out of touch recently, but Tom and I are finishing up our first baseball issue of Fantasy Sports Magazine and it's been two months of rankings and ratings. We go to press next week and after that we'll be all over these boards. I've participated in five expert league drafts/auctions in the past two months and I'll post some more results soon. I have plenty to talk about, so look out.

STATS has finished our Draft Spot Preference function for the Kentucky Derby Style system and we'll get everyone who has already signed up set up with that soon. We need to finish one last step of our automated signup page before unveiling that and then we'll be set. Basically when you sign up online you'll get your username and password immediately and be set up right away. During the past two years, we've had to personally e-mail everyone their username and password and that was a clumsy process. Starting next week, we'll have it ready to go.

We'll also unveil our Satellite League schedule next week and put the signup page live after the New Year. We will have online drafts on Feb. 21, Feb. 28 and March 7 and offer leagues at $100, $250, $500 and $1,000 per night. Plan accordingly and we'll run as many leagues as there is interest for those dates. If we need to add additional dates, we will.

Look for all kinds of updates on our event soon. All is good and the best is yet to come. Merry Christmas everyone and I hope Santa Claus is good to you this year. I know he's filled my stocking with something special!! ;) Stay well and best of luck in 2006.
