Ok if KJ takes Arod #1 I will draft 2nd and take H. Ramirez. Who's got #3? I think the draft has moved ok certainly better than the 2005 draft which took 3 months or something for about 9 rounds. The only thing I would ask if your participating in this please check at least once a day to make your picks or forward possible choices to another on the boards. Thanks and good drafting.

Pretty much I have disagreed with your assesment on every player for 08 status and what round they should go in. The trend continues with that statement. I not only have Wright over Pujols they may not even be back to back in my rankings.

Now Wright before Rollins is an interesting debate IMO.

I guarantee that nine of 10 magazines(it is so cool that so many cover the subject now) will have Pujols rated above both Rollins and Wright. Why? Three reasons.

1.Because King Albert was a #1 pick or close to it for so many years and his drop off, although noticable, wasn't dramatic.

2.His consistency has been so high for so many years that the chances of him having a bounceback year is not out of the realm.

3.ARod. If he can bounce back after a down year, why can't Albert?

Now, lets get real. I'll leave Rollins out of the equation since he is more of an apples-oranges thing with regards to position, speed, and roles on their team.

First, lets list Albert's negatives.

1. No protection in the lineup

2. Power is on the decline

3. Fewest home runs of his career last year while at the same time having the most bb's. A product of both one and two and also a stat that looks to only worsen for the forseeable future

4. No SB help

5. Where does his RBI come from? Eckstein? Miles? Ryan? The non-pitcher hitting 9th?

6. Plays through injury. I know. This is supposed to be be a good thing, right? No. In real life it's great, the star player battling being hurt and staying in the lineup for the sake of his Manger and teammates. Commendable. Fantasy life? A drag on every category from your #1 pick and no thought of replacing him because of no idea when he'll break out and/or heel from his hurts. Beltran, Manny, Aramis, and Carl Crawford owners know too well how this can hurt their team.

To make this a little shorter, all the negatives for Albert but #6 are positives for Wright.

I do hope that when those 10 magazines come out that Krause will have the one that rates Wright over Pujols. Although Pujols gives Spy and probably most magazines that comfy feeling, I'll take Wright and know that I've won round one over your team.

thanks doughboys- i can now move my #1 kds from 6 to 5. can't really believe you think reyes will be standing on second more than eckstein when wright/pulhos come up- or that beltran delgado protect more than ankiel or duncan- but like i said- i keep seeing your team up there.
