On my sheets, I give Hamels the nod, but would take Kazmir if he fell to "bargain" range.
Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

I woke up today and saw that it was my turn. I thought to myself, "Cool, I think I'll take Chipper Jones for this pick." Turns out I can't do that. I had Chipper on my team this past season in one of my leagues. Man, I love that guy.

[/QUOTE]The gap is wider for me. Hamels has one of the best lineups playing behind him with a decent bullpen. Kazmir games are guaranteed to drive you crazy. Tampa Bay mixes and matches a lineup that usually puts a bad defense behind him. He pitches mostly against the best lineups in baseball. But worst is that he is a 5 2/3 inning pitcher, when he leaves the game it's the Boston, Yankee, Jays, O's lineup againt Shawn Camp and Brian Stokes. Advantage A.L. east and any chances for a win.
