I have a hard time even in a mock letting somebody so close in spots make another team's pick.

No, you are not confused. I am confused to how Doughboys decides who Berkshire is taking as it destroys the integrity of the draft. He chose a player he had no interest in when he picks 2-3 spots from where Berkshire drafts.

Berkshire, to provide some integrity for Brilee, you are welcome to Smoltz and I'll take Hoffman.

I understand life can get in the way of a mock, but to join and not check in for days is worse than a pick being assigned. Are we supposed to wait until Berkshire decides to grace us with his presence again??

I guess Eli is up. I have Chest Rockwells picks. I will be around most of the day, but my daughter has a soccer game this afternoon (about an hour from where we live) so I will be off line for a few hours. I will check back in as soon as I get back.

The point was that I was planning on Hoffman while Doughboys no doubt was in search of a SP. By taking Hoffman for Berkshire it assured him one of the SP he wanted.

No GLU we do not wait for Berkshire to come back but we let a team in the top 3 make the pick, they have less to gain/lose. The team picking 2 spots away can make that pick by taking a player while "protecting" his list.

I don't want to get in this or make picks for someone if I don't have too. That's why I was hoping either Berkshire or someone else would step in. In a strange coinsidence I was considering giving Berkshire Hoffman if nobody picked. He needed a rp and Hoffman seemed to fit there. We may never know who Bershire would've picked. Hopefully we won't have to do that again. Anybody out there want to step in for Berkshire if he doesn't come back?

I have the third pick and think Hoffman is a solid pick at this point. Since part of my offseason work is to scout the "top teams" and Berkshire is one of them, I will say that they took two closers in the first eight rounds in the 2007 Main, so I am feeling comfortable that Berkshire would taken a closer here in the eighth.

Doughboys are another "top team" and I believe that they took the player that would have taken if the owned the Jaggernaunts. I really doubt they would have cared if Smoltz was going when they picked. Again I doubt that Berkshire would have grabbed a SP as they took their third SP in the 13th in last years main.

man this Mock draft is sure moving along at a snails pace. But not as slow as Krause Publications is at paying me the remainder of my winnings from 2007. What will happen first....this mock being completed or me receiving a check from Krause Pub.?

BTW, I could care less if people took 3 days to make a selection, my comments were more towards Brilee's Brigade due to his comments towards Doughboys. To many people "read into" postings waaay to much.
