Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

I know people will disagree with me, but I actually think the ROY has D Lee's value correct in where he wants to take him. But he will not see the 4th round in any draft- even late 3rd IMO.

My bad-- I thought it was too good to be true. I looked up and down the list twice and still missed that he was taken. I think I'll wait til round 8 or 9 on ole Jay Bruce. ;)

I have D. Lee valued at mid 3rd around #36 overall, for what little that is worth.

HH and Chest- I will take the under on Jay Bruce's ADP at 14.1 (195) for a tall frost one in Vegas, if either of you are interested...

I will take E. Bedard at 4.9 (and watch his stock rise post-trade).

asumijet- if bruce starts- you might be correct. but right now he will not be starting. dunn, hamilton, griffey. if he is not announced as the starter by draft day- you have zero chance to win that bet. zero he may PLAY to round #1. that is not the question or the answer.

Chest, yeah that's me. An administrator listed me as just Colorado rather than smcolorado. You first need to earn my respect before receiving a Corona. Create a better roster than me during this mock and you've got one. Lemon or lime? I don't know any of you yet, but for those that are old enough . . . Wasn't Chest Rockwell the name for Rock Hudson when he "guest starred" on a couple episodes of The Flintstone's?

You are absolutely correct! If he does not have a job come March 15th he doesn't go by Round 14. But a lot can happen in 100 days, Griffey to the AL or Hamilton to SD for some bullpen help.

Now to value him today... and my memory might be fading with old age, but Alex Gordon did not have a job rapped up until the end of spring training, although his likelihood to start was reasonably high. Bruce is a equivalent prospect to Gordon coming out of the minors. And Gordon went ADP #115 last year. With the lowest being #183. And if an OF with .290/25HR/10SB has a value around #150-ish. Add-in risk of not starting the season with the Reds, I am thinking a mid-teen round pick doesn't seem so unreasonable. Do I think now I can wait even a few more rounds to say 18-20, I think you have more than proven that point to me in both draft rooms.

AND... I will still honor the frosty drink wager that his ADP will be 195 or better.

 Question- if I have One-STAR rating and only one vote, does that mean someone already thinks I am an idiot? Usually, it takes half a season for my leaguemates to figure that out.

Asumijet, you are a wise man and support your thoughts well. Did you attend Dr. Wu's logic class with me in the early 80's at UW-Oshkosh? I seem to remember the same analysis being applied to a young Robin Yount. That guy could drop a 12 oz Bud in under 4 seconds. I heard that he married a future Senator. Hell, I'll buy you a beer (if you get 'er up to at least two stars)!

Glad someone stepped up and picked for me in the 14th slot. After I signed up I forgot to check back and then I totally spaced it. I am really sorry and hope that my brain-damaged space-out didn't cause too much harm.
