Remember High School?

You do your best to impress the good looking girl, win her over for a date, then discover that she's definitely not the girl for you.

Aaron Hill was that girl for me last year. Somebody else will probably get lucky with her this year, probably not me.

On the other hand, Carlos Gonzalez is the bookish girl, that turned out to be amazing with no clothes on. But now, others have discovered the beauty and she is now a prom queen and head cheerleader, out of our league for next year.

Yes I do not necessarily know that I make this pick in a pay draft...probably goa bit more conservative. Also, right after I made the pick I was feeling a bit nauseous.

I do like Hill this year, but prehaps he is bast left for closer to the middle of hte draft. Where did he go in your pay draft, if I can be so bold.

Not discrediting the pick itself. More to make light of how we feel about players that done us wrong.

If I were to take Hill again for next years team. It would feel a bit like marrying. Fighting, brawling disagreeing, and getting a divorce.

Only to reignite the flame and get back together for another year.

Hill went in the ninth round of the pay draft.

Well, may as well continue the 2B run with Chone Figgins. 40+ SB's out of the MI in the 8th round isn't bad, but he can't be as terrible in all of the other categories as last year, can he? CAN HE?

Few of us know what goes on behind the scenes, We are left to glean information from press columns and results.

The results from the Cardinal hitters were horrible.

Nobody really improved their hitting from 2009 to 2010 except for Rasmus, who would rather listen to advice from his father than LaRussa or McGwire, which, of course, galls LaRussa to no end.

I thought the Cardinals would have been better off retaining Duncan, while letting LaRussa and McGwire go.

LaRussa didn't see eye to eye with Ludwick and cut bait with him. If the same happens to Rasmus, Cardinals fans should really let Management have an ear full.

I think Larussa is VERY hard to get along with and all in all a crappy manager that has spent most of his career being in the right place at the right time. As a fan I can't stand his ridiculous "chess games". Stop the game bring in the lefty, see him walk the 1 batter he has to face. Stop the game bring in the righty, gives up a double, stop the game bring in the next lefty etc. Then blame the gm cause he won't go out and get new rp's as the old ones are spent by the all star game. He's done that more than once. I know I know, another unpopular opinion as most see Larussa as hall of fame material. I don't.

Agreed.

TWICE, last year, he double switched Holliday and a pitcher. Both games went extra innings where Pujols was walked intentionally with no hitters on the bench to pinch hit behind him...They lost both games... Genius!
