What does it take to win Online Championship?

Post by robotur » Fri Apr 03, 2009 1:31 am

Drafted my online team last night and thought I came out with a stacked team but the fact is almost of the team have bomb squads. Is winning the 40K a crapshoot.

Everyone's benches are very deep and the FAAB will be much easier. I would think that all goal number increase (accept average) by min 20%

So, what is the actual targets to shoot for? I have my targets that I think it will take to be in the conversation of winning the 40K.

KJ, we are in the same online league from last weekend and I did projections for all the teams to see where we stood after the draft. I was wondering what targets you and GG think you need to hit to have a shot?

That most recent team posted is pretty solid, but the previous two are dime-a-dozen rosters, nothing special at all in the 12-teamers.

I kinda thought this thread would embark on a journey to solve the target differences between a 15 team league and a 12 team league insofar as the overall.

Childs 20% rule has come close enough for targeting a 15 player, 390 team format...but I'd think with so many more teams, and 12 player leagues would have quite different targets.

I guess if no math wizards wish to tackle this...we can wait and see how it pans out this year, and go from there.

I had another question. I'm doing a live home league mixed auction tonight, is there a big difference in beginning of auction values of the top players when we only have 11 teams as opposed to 12???

Less money (260 auction dollars not in the mix due to missing team), and less roster (28 players for the missing team).

I'd guess the prices would fall off a bit...same supply of players, one less demand.

I have definitive stats targets per category, but no interest in sharing them... calculate any # you want, but with zero historical data in this format someone with good guesstimates would be a fool to post them
