I'm here and ready to answer all your questions. I'll be bouncing between this and finishing up our last baseball magazine so have a little patience if I don't reply right away but I'm ready to talk it up with all of you so let's chat.

Tom - hope it's not too cold there.

I have a question about the auction leagues on Friday. As I read the schedule, for Las Vegas

NL auctions are at 9 AM

AL auctions are at 4 PM (mixed as well?)

So, 1) are you really allowing 6-7 hours for each league?, and 2) If they were shortened up to five hours, couldn't you hold drafts at 8 AM, 2PM and 8 PM - still allowing some extra time and letting people compete in three different leagues if they wanted to?

Not too cold but gray and rainy. Winters in Wisconsin suck.

It's something to consider (I assume you mean auctions on Friday and not drafts). At this point I don't think we'd be making any changes in terms of the time and what we have set up. And we also want to give people enough time between auctions to get something to eat, gamble (yea like they're gonna do that ;) ) and have a little downtime. I think if we went the schedule you suggest we might be rushing folks a bit. But it's something we can take into consideration for the future.

Thanks Tom - to answer your question it's mid 70s here this week :D in the Valley of the Sun

Will there be access near the draft rooms to stations to buy coffee, sodas, snacks so we don't have to go all the way back inside the hotel to do so?

Tom, what would be your KDS order if you had to draft today?

Tom, just wondering what Gekko and Moneymaker(I think this is his moniker) are drinking up there on the east coast. I just bought your Fantasy Mag and saw Gekko was best man at Money's wedding? What are the odds of this happening? Two winners are good friends? My friend's are laboring away and waiting tables and these two are winning 100K....AMAZING...

Of course I know Gekkos response to what they drink.....CORONA'S

A sensible answer - to much is made of draft position. One can win from any position.

Tom, are you satisfied with your draft from the other night? And who do you think is the team to beat right now? Besides yours....

I haven't looked at all the teams to be honest so not sure how everyone stacks up. I did like my draft. I would've liked to have gotten a more legitimate No. 1 starter than Felix Hernandez but if he's as good as I think I may not find that to be a problem. Offensively, I have plenty of power; I would've liked one more SB guy but Greg stole Freel from me late ... dammit. :D

Overall, I like my team and I'm pretty happy with the how draft went.

According to my wife and daughter - it is! I'm not into crowds or walking 5-12 minutes from a parking space to accomplish some shopping urge - so I do not frequent much. Let's just say - it's HUGH !!!!

I really like Freel too...kinda reminds me of a football player.

Felix should be solid, but you never know with those young guys..

Ryan Freel. Maybe Dave Roberts.

Cheap source of hrs?Tony Batista (gonna kill your average though)

1st designated closer to lose job? David Weathers assuming the Reds don't bring in someone before camp. If they do, then I go with Chris Reitsma.
