Do you play every season in New York?

Do you hit Vegas for either sport?

Side note...

I've hit that wall of over analysis to the point of creeping doubt. Not doubt re: preparation of game plan, or confidence...but of how things could go with a different route of early round drafting.

I've just tonight possibly altered who I select in the 1st round...and will 100% go an odd route if a certain player falls to 5.

Amazing how nice of a team I "MAY" get if this were not the main event.

I know I'll get a broken heart at least 4 times, when a targeted player falls to within 2 spots of my pick before the rug gets pulled...so I'm developing the robotic thick skin needed this year.

I've also had a deep level discussion with a few imaginary wise friends, and the "coffee only" plan for the first 10 rounds is being scrapped for something much better. :D

What a great competition...so many games within the game...even pre and during draft...let alone the entire season.

Compared to football...baseball gives you SO MUCH MORE bang for you entry bucks!

I thought my research was completely solo and nobody else could use my methods of discovery. /tear in eye... are you, are we... are you my long lost brother!?!?!

I am going to bring a bar stool and sit behind LV3's tables and watch the draft and use a miracle ear to listen in when it's my turn to scurry back to LV4 to toss down a quick Ross Gload. I might even let the last magazine rankings pick my team for me and just flat out no show my own league.

Greg, can I help with draft boards in LV3?

lol - you guys rock.

Quahogs , Derterra is a huge Giant fan going back to the fifties. He cant stand the Cowboys and hates Terrell Ownes. When the Giants took down my Boys he couldnt wait to find me , his first words were hey Eddie get the pop corn out.[bastard] It was a bad week for myself and Dom, but i did feel a little better when the Giants went all the way , if Dallas could of just had that one drive who knows.I think Dallas will be back strong , just sign the guys you need and we have two 1st round picks. Damn i need to get back to baseball .

[/QUOTE]Been in NY every year Lance. Vegas looks like such a hoot, I'd love to get out there to draft.

Feel like I know so many there but probably couldn't pick anybody out of a police lineup. :D

According to RW, "Kaz Matsui will miss four to five days with an anal fissure". My reaction was, "no wonder he runs so fast". I don't even know what that means, but I think I'd want to run too. Between Kaz and Pie, seems they're really getting personal with the injury reporting this season.

In an effort to make this thread 7 pages in the next 5 minutes, let me say anyone who gets all wrapped up in football doesn't have the single-minded focus it takes to defeat me and is fated to lose.

Awwwwww yes!

This is the day I've been waiting for!

Gonna eat a good breakfast, and shave my head, so I can minimise the lag time from exiting plane...to entering pool area!

I'll set the over under at 2:35pm :D

Nothing like plane crash dreams the night before a flight-day!

Safe trip to all!

Spy Reyes went 8th, Pujols went maybe 20th, luckily by the same guy who got Lackey.

I got frazzled as a mishap saw me building a spreadsheet during most of the first two rounds and then Hart, Berkman, and Tulo all got taken before me in the 2nd ruining all my plans.

Kevin and I should never sit next to each other as we like all the same players.

Lance was mysteriously quiet at brunch afterwards, leading me to believe he was unhappy about his team, hungover or both. He put up a nice draft, tho.

Zaleski just happened to sit down next to me at breakfast, prompting me to say to my buddy, "The is the SOB who posted my picks online!" :D

What a great guy!!

JZ: Is this seat open?

BO: Yes

JZ: Thanks for saving it for me!

pause...pause...

JZ: Are you in the baseball?

BO: NFBC?

JZ: Yes, what league ya in?

BO: LV3

JZ: Me too.

pause...pause..

BO: Are you Zaleski

JZ: Are you Brian? Thanks for saving me a seat!! :D

It was classic... I was really looking forward to meeting him, and he SAVES me the only seat left!

Plenty of good times the entire week...

Good draft by all.... I still can't get the serious draft mode face of Lance out of my mind ;)

Spy ahhh, back from Vegas

Chris, the odds have definitely changed. I usually don't drink 'til after the draft, but I was on my second already in the final rounds before Lance had even sniffed the bar! I wouldn't call him a longshot anymore, he had a solid draft.

Kevin,

I agree night and day effort between Lance and any other draft I have seen him in.

I am pretty sure that Lance has more people pulling for him than any other nfbc past cellar dwellar.

I am torn in that league and hope for a 4 way tie for first between Kevin, Lance, Brian, and Eddie all are great guys.

Two questions for Las Vegas League 3:

(1) Did bjoak take a SS with his first round pick?

(2) Did bjoak have any idea that there was a ZERO PERCENT CHANCE of Tulowitzki being there for him at 2.14?
