I will miss you all in Florida, but I am not missing being in this league! Brutal..Tom, Bill, Albert, Chesty, Chris, John, Brian...All-Stars!

Good luck all!
Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

My wife said to me last night. I hope we get to sit by Bill Strickler he is so nice. I said I hope not he is a good player put him in another league. She said that is not very nice. I said remember you get to spend all profits. She said I can wave to Bill across the room.

Albert, Jeff, Bill a repeat of 2007. I am looking forward to meeting the guy from Weirton WV shockingly I have spent a lot of time in Weirton over the last 5 years on business.

Chest,

Anthony and I are teammates and both from Weirton. I have no clue what you could possibly be doing in Weirton for business. We drafted in NYC last year but I moved to Tampa in Novemeber so we decided to do the Orlando League this year.

Add us to the heavy hitters in this league since we finished 2nd last year in our league. Sounds like we got a solid league so we're fired up. First pick doesn't hurt either. Felt like Selection Sunday and getting a one seed.

My first NFBC experience left me overwhelmed by the professionalism and execution of the organizers and the class of all my league competitors. Everything and everyone was first-rate thru and thru. I am already looking forward to doing it again next year.

I can only hope to be competitive since many in my league are experienced and successful at this game. I was fortunate to sit between Chesty and Albert who were kind enough to give a newbie some helpful advice. I needed all the help I could get since my draft lists included Mark Price and Rafael Belliard (who I actually tried to draft). And the Heineken was extra good.

You just can't beat an afternoon of baseball topped off by a little Heine...

would like to thank everyone at the Orlando draft players and workers alike--my daughter and I had a great time with everyone being friendly and the lunch buffet was perfect.. We only had one comunication break on our team and seeing how I didn't want to have a brawl on my hands went with Joba over Gallardo --oh well you never know--good luck everyone this year

Draft day in the NFBC is always the best day of the year. It was great to see my old rivals Tom, Al,Bill and Kent, as well as meeting other owners for the first time. I think I was aced out of more picks this year than in any previous draft. I have to chuckle at some on the NFBC message boards who imply that Orlando is the weak sister of the tournament. Let them try out this league for size! Brutal!
