Look who got the #1! Way to go!

Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

Looking forward to STL, should be a very strong league. Did everyone who is drafting 1-7 get the memo ? Please let Albert drop to slot 8. Thanks!

Slackerdan [/QUOTE]As you can see, I'm new to this.
You say this will be a very strong league. You have nothing to fear from me, a rookie picking last; I hope to learn from you and the other strong players this year...

I'm looking forward to meeting everybody.
After driving 20 hours to get to St. Louis, it'll be nice to say a name for the first pick and then take a nap while the first and second rounds wind there way back.

On my tombstone-
Wait! I never had the perfect draft!

I look forward to meeting everyone also. There are no weak leagues in the NFBC but some are stronger than others and this league has the look of being very, very competitive. Good luck to all and we will see you.....wow, tomorrow.

i know we can't reveal anything until after this weeks draft, but just curious if anybody's happy or unhappy with their draft. personally, i'm not unhappy, i see my weaknesses, but overall, i feel OK with it.

Well, I am not very excited about our team. We have a bunch of things we need to work on, mainly more depth. Oh yeah, more power, more speed, more wins, better era, lower whip and better batting average. If our young gun pitchers actually make the team and do what we think they can (k's especially) then I will feel alot better.

SlackerDan, Your Strasburg will be up by May and will do great in all catagories..
My team...looks good to me now but its spring...you guys let a lot of injury-prone players fall to me and I took the bait. Reyes might pan out, but if Santana, Mauer, Raul, Billy Wagner, Chipper, F. Liriano, Glaus and Huff all stay healthy it will be a miracle...

good times with everyone on Saturday....had a blast at the draft as well as afterwards with food, drink and watching KU choke!
Mike, Cory, Kyle and the rest of the Fanball guys ran a tight ship and did a great job!
Good luck to everyone in the league this year and it'd be really awesome for the first year of STL drafts to produce a champ!
BTW, as a St. Louis guy I am stoked that Fanball is holding drafts in their company hometown....now we just have to get em to hold the draft out of the sticks and in downtown where the action is! Trying to navigate home through the Maryland Height's Policia gauntlet was a bit nerve racking after a couple of cold frosty ones!!!
