Okay guys, you did this in record time. This $1,000 Slow Draft League is now full with 15 great owners. We can start up a second $1,000 league if the interest is there. But this one is full and ready to go. We won't set KDS preferences until February, so enjoy. Your spots are secure. Here's the league:

You're onto me now Greg. I guess my E-mail this morning regarding that other league I just missed out on and the timing of my post joining this league has shown the weakness in my plan shared with you to show some control this year in league signups. I just can't help but notice the signup lists for these challenging and fun-looking drafts yet proudly keep telling myself "No, no, no, no, no, no, NO!!! I'll never have as many leagues as I had last year ever again! NO!!!!"

That is until I see you're infamous "ONE SPOT LEFT", all discipline is out the window, and before I know what I'm doing I've sent off frantic E-mails with my credit card number offering my first born for you to fit me in these damn leagues!!!

Damn, addiction's a bitch.

What makes my addiction even more troubling is that all I'm ever attracted to are drafts like this one with ridiculous competition where I have no chance of cashing. Where the hell is that number for Fantasy Sports Anonymous???

Unfortunately, Max, your hollow flattery will not work to sway me into the other $375 (yet).

As of now, I am committed to several higher stakes drafts including two main events, two XII's, my regional Super event that I am starting this year on the first East Coast weekend in NJ, and your $1000. We shall see. But even if I don't do the other $375, I am sure that I will come up with some other creative way to take your money with a different side bet of some sort

. Looks like the $1000 is going to be craaaazy!!!. Looking forward to getting the party started.

Oh sure, Lowy. First you jump into this one claiming 'addiction' as your defense, but obviously you sober up just in time to bail on me for my Super in NJ the first weekend with the "rationale" that you will be away the following week in Vegas!

Nice pal. Nice. Just keep in mind that these slow drafts are just that...nice and slow... providing me just the right forum to ride you in the chat room mercilessly for the entire month of February on your disloyalty, false promises, and warped definition of friendship just to name a few.

Just pray that you don't draw a spot either right before or right after me. Karma is a bitch!

I understand MIke, the beating I laid on you last year was HUGE in the combined 3 Slows and I wouldn't want to sign up for that again either... Good luck just trying to defend that 1000 Slow Title, let alone try to beat me for once. I can't believe I am undefeated (1-0) against you, considering how good you always tell me you are. Weird!!!

Glad you think its funny RT, but here is a picture of what its like when MtM and I are preparing for a draft... He is obviously Randy Johnson w/ the Mullet and I am the tiny Eddie Gaedel just trying to stand tall. Even though I am batting 1.000 against MtM, its still an uphill battle everytime we take the field!

I'm not one you should worry about with that amazing bunch of players. What a set-up. This is probably the best league I have ever been in. Bragging Rights will have as much value as the price money. I will tremendously enjoy this draft.

Yeah, the $1000 will be almost as much fun a my Super that you should be coming to. Just suck it up and drag your prima donna ass out from Snootyville, LI on that Friday night for the party, and just go home that night afterwards if you must

. How can you pass up a live league like this in so close to home in scenic New Jersey? C'mon, you know it's going to come down to you being in to round out the league anyway, so man up, Mr. Met.

Yeah, okay. I smoked you in the one that mattered. I will trade the $375 it cost me on the side bet for the $8000 league title prize every time. Consider yourself fortunate that those were my "experimental" leagues (experimenting with trying to win with sh*t bag teams

). And the only beating you will be doing this year will having nothing to do with fantasy baseball

. Let's here your ideas for a bet combining the $375 with the $1000 that you have no chance in winning.

I understand you wanting to change the game and/or the rules to try and beat me for once MtM, but the game is the game. If you want to man up for the 2nd - S375 Slow and repeat our side bet, great. As one of the main offenders, I will do my part to clean it up. MtM & I are just having a little fun as friends in the NFBC, but I agree this is just a sign up thread.

Plus, with Greg saying that these drafts will finally be starting next week, its time to turn our full attention to filling more of these leagues and the picks that will start flying!

Just a heads up that we have ONLY 7 SPOTS LEFT in the next $375 Slow Draft League. We also have 13 spots left for $150 Slow Draft League #4. If you want to start either of these after Christmas, let us know. I don't think either of these will start before then, so finish up your fantasy football season and get ready to jump into baseball.
