Next Signup List for $150 and $375 Slow Draft Leagues
Okay, we are almost ready to officially kick off the Slow Draft season as we have three full $150 Slow Draft Leagues and 2 $375 Slow Draft Leagues ready to go. We are close to filling up a fourth $150 Slow Draft League and will start that shortly after Christmas Day if that fills this week. I felt a new signup list was needed to get us going with this second wave of signups.
Remember that the Slow Drafts are Draft Champions Leagues: In other words, what you draft is what you have for the season. There are no in-season free agent pickups in these leagues. You draft 50 players, which means that in these leagues 750 players are drafted. Know your player pool and draft depth, depth and more depth at each position. Then just change your roster during the season and compete for league and overall prizes. This is a fun, fun contest because you can win good league prizes and you are eligible for the overall contest that pits Slow Draft teams from the $150, $375 and $1,000 levels. $25 from each team goes towards the overall prize pool and the prizes are based on 20 leagues or 300 teams. League prizes include:
$375 Slow Draft DC League:
1st: $1,400
2nd: $1,400
3rd: $1,400
$150 Slow Draft DC League:
1st: $1,000
2nd: $375
3rd: $125
A $1,000 Slow Draft League has also been added:
$1,000 Slow Draft DC League:
1st: $8,000
2nd: $3,000
3rd: $1,000
Okay, now let's get back to the signups. Here are the next available Slow Drafts, and remember that we will start these shortly after these leagues fill. Don't sign up unless you are ready to draft because these will fill quickly and we will get rolling shortly after they fill. Thanks all and sign up online if you want to join us:

Note that we do have someone who requested to be anonymous in Slow Draft League #4. If anyone wants to avoid being in a league with an anonymous owner, just let me know. Otherwise, not that one is in this league. Thanks all.

Is it Pete Rose? If so, let him know, this is NOT gambling, so no need to be concerned.Greg Ambrosius wrote:Note that we do have someone who requested to be anonymous in Slow Draft League #4. maybe i am being picky, i dont care what name he chooses but i would want to know what city and state he is from. without knowing where he is from could give him a small advantage knowing i am from new york and may prefer picking from the yankees or mets.
Re: Next Signup List for $375 and $150 Slow Draft Leagues
I emailed about this, but you can add me to the next $150.

It's funny, but I'll go into most 'Anonymous' drafts thinking it's Mark anyway.

I'll put down region if that helps. East Coast. No idea if he likes Yankees, Mets, Red Sox, Phillies or Nationals. But something like that. Hope that helps.papa's nine wrote:maybe i am being picky, i dont care what name he chooses but i would want to know what city and state he is from. without knowing where he is from could give him a small advantage knowing i am from new york and may prefer picking from the yankees or mets.

I will take a spot in $150 #4. I will register online as long as it doesn't create confusion with my entry in league #1.

Re: Next Signup List for $375 and $150 Slow Draft Leagues
Not this year. We already have many different variations of games and we probably already overwhelm folks with our options. We'll keep the Slow Drafts to deep, 15-teamers for 2012. There will be plenty of 12-team satellite league offerings this year and maybe next year we can look at DCs in the 12-team format.Potter wrote:Greg,

Greg,
If you want to get a ONE NIGHT 50 round $150 Draft Champions Draft going for Monday January 2nd @ 7pm EST, sign me up. I should have most of my preliminary prep done by then. Should be enough to beat anyone in the league.
