We're glad to welcome back the only NFBC member who has his own Forum on our Message Boards: Dan Kenyon of Grand Junction, Colorado. DOUGHBOYS has kept the Message Boards alive during our transition from Fanball and during slow times in the baseball season. His historical writings have been so well received that there was a request to create his own Forum and now we have Doughboys' Daily Stuff. Enjoy it, it's worth the time to read every one of Dan's thoughts. But what he's really here for is to win the $100,000 among this great group of competitors. Dan joined the NFBC in 2005 and promptly won a league title and finished 2nd overall. He made it look so easy that he thought he'd keep coming back for more. While he's made enough friends to last him a lifetime, he hasn't been able to move one spot higher than his debut season and thus the quest for the NFBC overall title continues. That's good, for all of us. Dan will be back for two shots at the grand prize as he's drafting in the Main Event Online on Saturday, March 24th and again at the Bellagio Las Vegas on Saturday, March 31st. He definitely wants to be present when we induct Lindy Hinkelman into the NFBC Hall of Fame. DOUGHBOYS had a solid third place finish last year in Online League 3 of the Second Weekend last year -- finishing with 109 points, just 3 points out of first place -- and finished 53rd overall with 2,692.0 points. His Las Vegas League 3 team from the First Weekend with 96 points, placing 114th overall with 2,329.5 points. Thanks for all you do Dan and best of luck in the hunt for both league prizes and the $100,000 grand prize.

What started as a Father's Day present from favorite son Glenn to honorable father Martin has led to a father-son hobby that is expanding in the NFBC. Glenn Lowy gave his dad Martin of Farmingville, New York a mid-season Father's Day present last year and his dad, already a veteran fantasy player, loved his experience in the NFBC. He joined the NFFC and had a fun and successful football season and now is returning full-time to the 2012 NFBC. Martin will be competing in the Main Event Online on Saturday, March 24th and will be jumping into the debut NFBC XII Online on Friday, March 30th. We're glad to have Papa's Nine in the NFBC family and we wish you best of luck in the hunt for this year' league prizes and the $150,000 in grand prizes.

Let's give it up for the return of another NFBC veteran to both Main Events this year. Matthew Anderson of Villa Grove, Illinois will be back in Las Vegas for the First Round of the NCAA tournament, but unfortunately the NFBC won't be there that weekend. But thankfully Matt is going to join us in St. Louis and will be drafting in the Main Event and the NFBC XII at Pujols 5 Restaurant on Saturday, March 31st. The Northsiders struggled last year in the Main Event (12th in Las Vegas 1 of the First Weekend) and in the Live Double Play, but fortunately this is a new year where anything is possible!! We're now more than halfway full in St. Louis for the Main Event, so don't delay if you want to join Matt and the others in that league. Thanks Matt and best of luck in the hunt for the league prizes and the $150,000 in grand prizes.

We love our baseball die-hards from North of the Border and none are more intense than Gaetan Lavoie of St-Lambert, Quebec. Gaetan loves his annual trips to Las Vegas and he will be back on March 30-31 for the NFBC Main Event, debut NFBC XII and Super League. His GET OUT OF MY WAY team in Las Vegas League 1 of the First Weekend Main Event finished 7th with 74 points (227th overall) and his Super and Live Double Play teams also finished out of the money. No problem, 2012 is a new season and Gaetan has his sights set on three league prizes. Welcome back Gaetan and best of luck in the hunt for this year's league prizes and the $150,000 in grand prizes.

Easily the best reason to come to the baseball boards. If I had a vote I'd induct him into the hall of fame right now. I look forward to everything you write Dan. Thanks for doing it!!!

While I know that Dan appreciates the kind words and the sentiment, if I know Dan the only way he wants to get in the NFBC Hall of Fame is with two NFBC overall titles in hand!! ;) I know that Dan is as competitive as anyone else in this contest and while he'd enjoy being honored in the writer's wing, it's the players Hall of Fame and the titles that go with it that keeps him coming back each year. He's finished second overall once, so the skills are there. :D

Our newest members to the growing NFBC family admit they first heard about us from the New York Times article on Lindy Hinkelman and will be joining us in the Main Event as a result. The tag team of James Arney of Columbus, Ohio and Craig Wiley saw the article in the NY Times, read about Lindy's accomplishment, checked out the NFBC web site and signed up today for the Main Event at the Bellagio Las Vegas on Saturday, March 24th. They are excited to be joining us in Sin City and in the Main Event. Welcome aboard guys and best of luck in the hunt for this year's $5,600 league prize and the $100,000 grand prize.

Signups are starting to roll in now that the fantasy football season is complete, so let's roll out the Welcome Wagon and see if we can catch up. Let's stick with Las Vegas for a bit and welcome KC Cha of Los Angeles, California as he will be returning to the Bellagio on March 30-April 1 for the perfect quadfecta. KC will be drafting in the Main Event, the NFBC XII and two Super Leagues. Last year, KC led his glendale team to a fourth place finish in Las Vegas League 1 of the First Weekend with 102.5 points, placing 67th overall with 2,607.0 points. That was a ridiculously close league with the top 4 spots being separated by 5 points. KC also competed in the Ultimate League, but glendale finished 12th there with only 67 points. Welcome back KC and best of luck this year in the hunt for all of those league prizes and the $150,000 in grand prizes.

We're glad to welcome back another defending league champ from the NFBC Main Event to the 2012 event. Marc Perlmutter of Chappaqua, New York will be joining us again on March 30-31 at the New York Hilton in Manhattan for the same doubleheader he entered last year. His Gemsters team actually tied for the league title last year in New York League 3 with Billy Wu as both teams finished with 104 points. Gemsters finished 80th overall with 2,532.5 points to take home $4,200 for the share of the league title. Bo's Gems then finished third in the very tough New York 10 am Auction Championship League with 113 points, for another money finish. Great job Marc and best of luck in the hunt for this year's league prizes and the $115,000 in overall prizes.

Kevin Grady of Flemington, New York is an NFBC Charter Member who is returning to the Main Event for his 9th straight season. Kevin will be back with us at the New York Hilton on Saturday, March 31st even though his Keeps Me Guessing team finished 14th in New York League 4 last year. No problem Kevin, it's time for a Minnesota Twins style Worst to First type of season. Welcome back Kevin and best of luck in the hunt for this year's league prize and the $100,000 grand prize.

We're starting to get a few more signups for that first weekend in Las Vegas. We're going to have some fun at the Bellagio during Sweet Sixteen, so come and join us. Coming back for that first weekend of activities in Las Vegas is Roger Garvin of El Segundo, California. Roger is coming back for the Main Event on Saturday, March 24th after having good success on that first weekend last year. She Gave Me Gasoline finished 2nd in Las Vegas League 1 -- 1 point out of first place -- with 104 points and finished 61st overall with 2,631.0 points. Great job last year Roger and best of luck in the hunt for this year's league prize and the $100,000 grand prize.

Sticking with that first weekend in Las Vegas, I'm glad to welcome back NFBC Charter Member J.T. Visco of Huntingdon, Pennsylvania back for our ninth season. J.T. is back for the Main Event and the Auction Championship on Friday, March 23rd. J.T. had the highest overall placing for a non-league champ last year in the Main Event as his Scared Money Don't Make Money team finished second in Las Vegas League 2 of the First Weekend with 117 points, while placing 13th overall with 3,026.0 points. That was one helluva season J.T. Congrats and best of luck in the hunt for this year's league prizes and the $115,000 in grand prizes.

Our debut NFBC XII Main Event is getting a lot of early interest as we already have 50+ signups and 27 owners who have teams in both the Main Event and NFBC XII. Eric Heberling of New, Pennsylvania is sticking to this 12-team format as he has two NFBC XII teams Online on March 31st and April 1st. Eric joined the NFBC last year for the NFBC Online Championship and led his Phillies team to a 2nd place finish in the March 27th league. The Phillies scored 97 league points and placed 21st overall with 6,284.0 points. Great job Eric and best of luck in the hunt for this year's $4,000 league prizes and the $50,000 grand prize.

Speaking of the NFBC XII, let's welcome Josh Bremer of Thiensville, Wisconsin to this debut event. Josh competed last year in the Las Vegas Live Double Play and despite a 10th place league finish is returning on Saturday, March 31st at the Bellagio for this live draft. Thanks for working hard to return with us this year Josh and I'll see you in Sin City. Best of luck in the hunt for this year's $4,000 league prize and the $50,000 grand prize.

I always like it when we get signups on Christmas Day because that means folks are treating themselves to one of our events. This year that signup came from the Matt Dillon family as they locked in their spot for the Main Event at the Bellagio Las Vegas on Saturday, March 31st. Matt and his sons have been making this a family tradition since 2005 and I'm glad to have them back with us on the second weekend in Las Vegas. The 4 Headed Monster drafted on the First Weekend in Las Vegas last year and placed 8th in Las Vegas League 3 with 79 points, while placing 189th overall with 1,938.0 points. Welcome back guys and best of luck in the hunt for this year's $5,600 league prize and the $100,000 grand prize.

I'm glad to see that our debut NFBC XII has brought in another new member to our growing NFBC family. Vance Wittie of Edgewood, Texas is looking forward to his first live event with the NFBC and has decided to jump into the 12-team big dance in Chicago. Vance will be drafting on Saturday night, March 31st at the Hyatt O'Hare. Welcome aboard Vance and best of luck in the hunt for the $4,000 league prize and the $50,000 grand prize.

We already have 70+ signups for our Main Event with a goal of 390 this year. The Main Event has sold out EVERY YEAR since 2005 and I suspect we'll hit the mark again this year. Our latest signup is NFBC veteran Richard Talley of Baltimore, Maryland as he will be joining us again at the Bellagio Las Vegas on Saturday, March 31st. Richard led his Two Man Wolfpack to an 8th place finish last year in Las Vegas League 1 with 87.5 points, placing 120th overall with 2,289.5 points. Welcome back Richard and best of luck in the hunt for this year's $5,600 league prize and the $100,000 grand prize.

We're already working on our sixth Main Event league for 2012 with a goal of 26 full leagues. Our latest signup comes from the Big Apple as New York City native Ed Swartz has secured his spot in the New York Main Event at the New York Hilton on Saturday, March 31st. It's always easy to come back to the NFBC after a good year, but I give everyone who jumps back in after a tough year. Ed will admit that 2011 was a tough year as his Kaiser Soze 2 team finished at the bottom of New York League 1. But he's back with gusto this year and more than ready to compete for a league title. Welcome back Ed and best of luck in the hunt for this year's league prize and the $100,000 grand prize.

Let's get caught up with the Welcome Wagon this morning as we welcome four more new signups. The first is NFBC veteran Jeremy Wilck of Dublin, Ohio as he's coming to Chicago on Saturday, March 31st for the Main Event doubleheader. Jeremy will be drafting the Main Event at noon at the Hyatt O'Hare and then will be participating in the NFBC XII at 6 pm CT. Last year, Jeremy led THE ICON to a 10th place finish in Chicago League 2 of the Main Event with 75.5 points, placing 223rd overall with 1,826.0 points. Welcome back Jeremy and best of luck in the hunt for the $9,600 in league prizes and the $150,000 in grand prizes.

After a one year absence, NFBC veteran Rob Kalupar of Hamilton, Ohio will be back with us at the Bellagio Las Vegas on March 30-31 for the Main Event and the $1,300 AL Auction League. We now have 4 of 12 spots filled for that AL Auction League, which is a good start. Welcome back to the NFBC Rob and best of luck in the hunt for both league prizes and the $100,000 grand prize.

It's great to welcome back another defending Main Event league champion as Andre Bourcier of Horseshoe, Texas will be joining us at the Bellagio Las Vegas on March 31st. Andre led his Serenity Now team to a first place finish in New York League 2 last year with 115 points, placing 52nd overall with 2,703.0 points. It was his second Main Event league title, having also won a Main Event in 2006. Andre will be joining us in Las Vegas for the best tripleheader of all: The Main Event, the NFBC XII and the Auction Championship. I love it. I look forward to meeting you in Las Vegas Andre and we wish you best of luck in the hunt for this year's league prizes and the $165,000 in grand prizes.

It's good to welcome another NFBC veteran who is planning on a tripleheader in Las Vegas on March 30-April 1. Dallas Jones of Centennial, Colorado will be with us at the Bellagio for the Main Event and two Auction Championships. I like it. Last year, Dallas led his Didley Squat team to a second place finish in Las Vegas League 5 of the Second Weekend with 112 points to earn $2,800, while placing 42nd overall with 2,755.0 points. Didley Squat also finished eighth in the March 25, 4 pm Auction League with 73.5 points. Dallas will be busy drafting a team each day and we wish him best of luck in the hunt for the league prizes and the $115,000 in grand prizes. Welcome back Dallas and I'll see you in Sin City for some fun in the sun.

We're glad to welcome our newest member of the growing NFBC family as Keefe Isgrigg of Moscow Mills, Missouri will be joining our live events for the first time in 2012. Keefe just signed up for the Main Event at Pujols 5 Restaurant in St. Louis on Saturday, March 24th and is excited about competing for the $100,000 grand prize. We're excited to have him with us and drafting in the big dance. We now have nine teams locked in for that event already and are shooting for just one full league there, so keep an eye on the signups if you plan on joining there. Welcome aboard Keefe and best of luck in the hunt for this year's $5,600 league prize and the $100,000 grand prize.

One of the great things about the early signups so far is that we're getting back some NFBC veterans who for one reason or another left us in the last year or two. One of the oldie goldies coming back to the NFBC is Norm Kent of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, who will be back in the Main Event and the Auction Championship on March 30-31 at the Bellagio Las Vegas. Norm was an NFBC Charter Member who first had me as a guest on his morning radio show and loved the concept of the NFBC so much that he flew to Las Vegas that first year and joined the fun. Health reasons kept him out of the NFBC the last two years, but he's back with us in a big way this year and we are VERY GLAD to have him back. Welcome back Norm and best of luck in the hunt for the league prizes and the $115,000 in grand prizes.

Another former NFBC member who skipped last year but is returning in 2012 is Jody Earley of Pelham, Alabama. Jody competed in online NFBC leagues in the past before taking last year off, but he's returning this year to the Main Event in St. Louis with co-manager Gale Breckenridge. We now have 11 owners in the St. Louis Main Event, leaving us with only four spots left for a full league. Nice. Welcome back Jody and best of luck in the hunt for the $5,600 league prize and the $100,000 grand prize.
