Last time I was in a league with Jupinka and Edelman I ended up with an ulcer! But I do appreciate your effort Mikey.

That pic looks a little like Jupinka 20 rounds into the main!

A ninth potential owner who shall remain anonymous for now (athough there will be ABSOLUTELY NONE OF THAT SH*T once an owner formerly commits to this league) is just about ready to jump into the fray. He's a hardcore, New York competitor, so be ready boys. Should have a final on him in a few days! Look for him to introduce himself on this thread soon and explain to you why he cannot wait to take your money from you in the very near future come draft day.

Not true Crumb Cobb. I haven't had hair like that in 25 years man...

I'm not exactly shedding a tear about your passing on the MtM. You see I prefer to cash, and your attendance would seriously dampen that effort !

We should be at 8-9 committed competitors by this weekend as MTM continues to work his magic behind the scenes. If you have what it takes to compete, win, and have fun at this level of competition with a great group of guys (except me, of course ;), then join us for the first weekend in NJ on the night of the 23rd. Post on this thread and join us! 8-)

There is nothing better than MtM doing his best impression of Ricky Henderson and talking about himself in the 3rd Person! Its fun to watch you fill this league Mike, I am sure it will be a blast! Can't wait for you to label yourself "THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME" like Ricky did, but I am sure that is coming soon enough ;) :D

Okay, give Mikey the Mouth credit for putting together what could be the first annual East Coast Super League, and quite possibly the toughest league we've ever had. We've recruited two more past champions from the founding of our country, Jamestown, Rhode Island!!! They are none other than Eddie Gillis and David Deterra. That brings this league to 9 owners, leaving us WITH ONLY 6 SPOTS LEFT!!

Now, because this looks like it's going to be a go, we've adjusted our flight plans here. Let's start this one earlier, like 7 pm ET or even slightly earlier so that everyone can draft in full and still get a good night's rest for the Main Event the next day. I figure if we start between 6:30 and 7:00 that we can still have time for food, drinks and analysis after the draft. This will be a blast of a draft and there will still be time for bravado afterwards at the Sheraton. We also hope to still fill an Auction Championship that night, so we need Tom working two drafts at once with his staff out there.

Okay, here's the current signup list and let's see if there's any other East Coasters who have the desire to jump into this one. Check out the Mahwah Sheraton because it really is a nice, nice place and location. The Super on Friday night followed by the Main Event on Saturday is a great combination. Eddie and David are both staying for the Main Event, too, and I'm adding them to the list now. Let's keep the momentum going for New Jersey and fill all of these East Coast leagues up. Thanks all.

"Mike the Mouth" NY Metropolitan League Invitational Super Event"
Friday, March 23rd, 6-9 pm starting time tentative, Mahwah Sheraton + Online

2. Joe Thelen, Garden City, New York
3. Stephen Jupinka, Waldwick, New Jersey
4. Michael Edelman, Elmwood Park, New Jersey
5. Roy Ericson, Little Falls, New Jersey
6. Michael Lins, Hillsborough, New Jersey
7. Dan Mitlof, Congers, New York
8. Eddie Gillis, Jamestown, Rhode Island
9. David Deterra, Jamestown, Rhode Island

Too funny Max. I agree it's a blast watching Massatto recruit. I'm just happy he's pointed his 3rd person rhetoric away from me and in Cobb's direction. Sorry Joe, someone had to be sacrificed to the beast. :)

One thing's for sure though. He said he'd pull off a completely live NY metropolitan only Super draft and it looks like he will. I kinda wish I coulda been there. Nice job Mike, well done.

Um, Glenn...last I checked, you can be here, unless you've decided to be in Vegas both weekends. You just don't want to lower yourself to slum to Jersey. Once we get to 14, I'm expecting you to lower your standards and get your ass here that night to join the rest of us fanatics. You need to represent your people bro'.

Not true my friend. I'm a big fan of NY's red headed stepchild little sister state of Jersey. :D After all, I represented the last two years in AC. Unfortunately, the bill of goods I sold my wife to make my Vegas trip more appealing to her is that if I was flying out to Vegas for an exhausting and very long, sad and lonely weekend away from her and the kids, there's no way I'd want to travel again the weekend before. :( :( ;)
Besides, the competition you're recruiting for this league is way too tough for me. I'm already donating to enough leagues I have no chance to cash in this year.

Great job though. Amazing to watch MtM's recruiting in action.

Yikes!! Honestly while I do see the resemblance to Jupinka on the left, I think the head on the right kinda looks like Joe (right after he asks his fiance if he can join this league and push the wedding back a month or two). :)

True story.I was sitting in my office at the house and the door bell rang, as I worked my way to the door a thought went through my head, albeit briefly, it COULD be Massotto :o It turned out to be UPS!

Quite a league you're throwing together Mikey, Eddie G and Deterra too...now all you need to do is use one of your Newark contacts to delay Sack's flight and the whole gang will be back together! That AC league 2 years ago nearly killed me and you want me to go back to the well? I might have to send Traci after Lowy

Joe:

The mouth has run me out of town on the night of his draft. Has me fleeing to St Louis to avoid
The hit he put out on me for "taking a piece of his action" last season in Atlantic City.

If you want to consider "combining families" in retaliation and assist me in taking out the Mouth, I'd
Be open to a "sit down" on exactly how we could go about this daunting task. I will have
Some NFBC XII obligations earlier in the evening within The Gateway to The West, but knowing
A phone hookup could put us in a position to control operations back home in the East it could
Make for a rewarding business venture. Have your people contact my people and let's consider
Rubbing out the Mouth. We could achieve this and still allow Godfather Jupinka some ( pardon the pun ) CRUMBS! ;)

Mike.....have you set a time yet? St Louis draft runs 4pm-7pm CT.........thanks.

Hey Sack,
Yes we have an official start time of 7 pm EST or so. It will be a little more casual than usual. Going a little earlier and doing the dinner afterwards. Should work fine for you to patch in as a co-owner with Joey. :D Love this idea. Let's make it official tonight so that we can be at 10 to start the week! 8-) C'mon, Joey. No excuses now.

Mike:

No shot at a decision that fast. Need to speak with Joe - this was tossed out tongue and cheek,
but if he has any interest we will have some discussions and I promise to let you know as quickly as possible.

I'd need a confirmed start time as well prior to making anything official. The St Louis league is scheduled
as a 4pm CT start time, but I have no guarantee's it will even fill. If that night opens up or if I can arrange to be
within your draft from the start, I would clearly have interest if you need a player via phone/internet. I won't be in Mahwah,
as I'm scheduled for the Main Event and another NFBC XII the following day. Even if Joe wants to jump in solo,
I have this crazy partner named LUNATIC that I need to ask first as well. He is the New York faction of my "family".
Ole Jim Christie is starting to spend is money on Slow Drafts, so I know he is getting itchy.

So when you set a time and if you'll accept a phone entry I would have interest. IF this causes any problems from
your already established "live" league mates, I would not create any stir and would simply step back. But you have created interest in this league and with the NFBC backing, I'm now interested. Plus, I enjoyed beating you..... ;)

Ken / Sack
