Let's welcome our newest member of the growing NFBC family as Chad Pannell of Charlotte, North Carolina will be joining us for the first time in 2012. Chad checked out our site last week and really likes the private leagues we're offering with the bigger league payouts. He just grabbed a spot in the Sunday, March 25th Super League at 7 pm ET, drafting online. We're getting a little more interest in both Supers and both Ultimates for that day, so let's keep it going. Welcome aboard Chad and best of luck in the hunt for this year's $20,000 league prize.

It's been a great weekend of new signups as the NFBC is getting plenty of new players into our various formats. The latest new signup is another entry for the NFBC XII, which has solid appeal to the masses. Let's give it up for Bruce Gorman of South Seaville, New Jersey as he will be joining us for the NFBC XII in Mahwah on the weekend of March 24-25. Bruce and his co-manager Daniel Niles signed up for the Sunday, 1 pm NFBC XII. Welcome aboard guys and best of luck in the hunt for this $4,000 league prize and the $50,000 grand prize.

Let's welcome back NFBC veteran Scott Newman of Princeton, New Jersey to the 2012 live events as Scott will be returning to the New York City Main Event on Saturday, March 31st, and will be doing the Auction Championship and the NFBC XII in Mahwah, New Jersey. We have some work to do with the Mahwah Auction League, but I still think we can fill that one up. Last year, Scott competed in a pair of Main Events, finishing in 9th in Las Vegas 2 of the First Weekend (204th overall) and 11th in Las Vegas League 3 of the Second Weekend (215th overall). We're glad to have you back for the NFBC Tripleheader Scott even if it is over two weekends. Welcome back and best of luck in the hunt for all of these league prizes and the $165,000 in grand prizes.

He's now returning in full force, competing in a pair of Auction Championships in New York, the Main Event, a Super League and the NFBC XII. We had 60+ owners in the NFBC last year who were Charter Members in 2004 and one of them was Clark Olson. Clark won a Main Event league title in each of our first two years and has competed with us each year since then. He's coming back to Las Vegas on the Second Weekend and will compete in the NFBC Tripleheader: Main Event, Auction Championship and NFBC XII. Last year, his Hell Bent For Leather team finished 10th in Las Vegas 2 with 61.5 points, 9th in the Auction Championship with 72 points, and 4th in the Las Vegas Live Double Play with 78 points. Welcome back Clark and best of luck in the hunt for this year's league prizes and the $165,000 in grand prizes.

Interesting.....did Clark move out of Washington or does he just "have a partner" in one of the other 44 states?

We're glad to welcome back NFBC veteran Joe Martino to the NFBC Main Event doubleheader as he will be drafting in the Main Event and the NFBC XII in New York City on Saturday, March 31st. Joe and his brother David are long-time NFBC and NFFC members who won last year's New York Live Double Play with 84 points to earn $2,000, with MarissChris finishing 136th overall. CONGRATS on that league title. Joe and Dave also competed in the Main Event last year, with their MarissChris team finishing 6th in New York League 4 with 89 points, while placing 129th overall with 2,236.5 points. Welcome back guys and best of luck in the hunt for this year's league prizes and the $150,000 in grand prizes.

Let's give a hearty welcome to our newest member of the growing NFBC family, one of many new players joining the NFBC in the last week. Ryan McAfee of Orient, Ohio signed up today for the NFBC Main Event Online on Saturday, March 24th after playing in local leagues for the past 15+ years. Ryan said he read an article in the New York Times about this farmer winning $300,000+ in fantasy baseball and felt it was time for him to step up his game. We're glad he chose the NFBC to do that and we wish him best of luck in the hunt for this year's $5,600 league prize and the $100,000 grand prize.

We're glad to welcome another veteran NFBC member back to the 2012 event as Bob Mazur of Boulder, Colorado just locked in his teams for this season. Bob is a 3-time NFBC Main Event league champ who is looking for another league title. Bob is currently set to draft in the Main Event Online on Saturday, March 24th before coming to Las Vegas for the NFBC XII, Auction Championship and Main Event. His Spartacus 1 team finished 3rd in Las Vegas League 3 of the First Weekend last year with 109.5 points, placing 45th overall with 2,727.0 points, but Spartacus was in Las Vegas 4 where Lindy Hinkelman won the $100,000 grand prize and that team finished 11th with 70 points. Bob did win a $250 Satellite League title and $2,000 and Spartacus 12 did finish second in the Las Vegas Live Double Play with 92.5 points, placing 49th overall among 780 teams with 5,872.0 points. Great job Bob and we're glad you're coming back for more with us in Las Vegas. See you there and best of luck in the hunt for all of these league titles and the $165,000 in grand prizes.

It's been another great day of signups as we welcome the father-son team of Jason and Scott Zeidman of Redondo Beach, California back to the Main Event. Scott has been a long-time NFBC member who is teaming up with Jason again for our live event again. They will be back with us in Las Vegas on the second weekend at the Bellagio. Last year, Team Buster struggled to a 10th place finish in Las Vegas League 1 of the Second Weekend, finishing with 71 points. But I know this year will produce better results, especially if Jason is given more control of the draft!! ;) Just kidding Scott. Welcome back guys and best of luck in the hunt for this year's league prize and the $100,000 grand prize.

Okay, Chad Schroeder of Omaha, Nebraska is officially IN THE HOUSE!! Chad signed up for several events yesterday and is ALL IN for the NFBC after finishing strong in football and winning $60,000 in the NFFC Diamond, a Super League title and many more football prizes among the various contests. Great finish Chad and now it's time to turn our attention to baseball. Chad will be drafting Online the First Weekend in the Main Event and two NFBC XII's, while grabbing a spot in both Ultimate Leagues on Sunday, March 25th. We still have some work to do on the Ultimate Leagues, but this moves us a few steps closer to filling both of them. On the Second Weekend, Chad is coming to Las Vegas for the Main Event, two NFBC XII's, the Auction Championship, the Super League on Saturday night and of course the Diamond League and Ultimate Auction League on Sunday. That should be one full weekend for ya Chad!! ;) To top it off, Chad has grabbed a spot in our debut Super League on Tuesday, April 3rd, shortly before Opening Day. He would do an Ultimate League if we can fill one of those instead, but either way we have five on the list for that one now and I trust we can fill one two days before the first game of the season. Welcome back Chad and best of luck in the hunt for all of these league prizes and the $165,000 in grand prizes, plus the two $75,000 cash bonuses.

We're glad to welcome back another NFBC veteran to the 2012 live events as Josh Honeycutt of Paragould, Arkansas will be joining us again at the Bellagio Las Vegas on March 30-April 1. Josh grabbed the final spot in the $1,300 NL Auction League on Friday morning and will follow that with a spot in the 4 pm Auction Championship. He's also competing again in the Main Event on Saturday and the Super League on Sunday. Last year, Josh competed in two Main Events with his Get Carter St. Louis team finishing 5th with 96 points and 104th overall (2,391.0 points), while Get Carter also finished 5th in Online League 2 of the Second Weekend with 89 points, placing 119th overall (2,302.0 points). Welcome back Josh and best of luck in the hunt for this year's league prizes and the $115,000 in grand prizes.

We're picking up a little steam today for Mahwah, New Jersey and I'm happy about that. Our first signup today for Mahwah involves NFBC veterans Steve and Lopi Asch of Brooklyn, New York. This father-son combo has been with the NFBC for 7 years now, most of the time drafting in Las Vegas with yours truly. But a busy work schedule is going to keep these guys on the East Coast this year and they're happy to have the First Weekend option available. They're coming to the Sheraton Mahwah for the Auction Championship on Friday night, the Main Event on Saturday and the NFBC XII on Sunday if we can fill it up. Last year, their Basta & Schvitz team finished 4th in Las Vegas League 2 of the First Weekend Main Event with 99 points, placing 109th overall with 2,353.5 points. Their sailing through the sands team finished 8th in the Las Vegas First Weekend Auction Championship with 74.5 points. But they're back to win it all in both events this year, so we wish them best of luck in the hunt for all of these league prizes and the $165,000 in grand prizes.

We are closing in on our first full Main Event league in Mahwah, New Jersey on the First Weekend as we welcome another signup today. The tag team of Joe Santamaria of Oceanside, New York and his co-manager Lee Jupinka are back with us this year for the Main Event after stumbling a bit last year. Their Yard Dogs finished 13th in New York League 5 last year, but Joe and Lee are already competing in a few Slow Draft Leagues to get a head start on 2012. Welcome back guys and best of luck in the hunt for this year's league prize and the $100,000 grand prize.

We now have two full Main Event leagues in New York City on Saturday, March 31st after receiving another signup today. Let's give it up for the return of veteran NFBC owners Eric Konyk of Tampa, Florida and his co-manager Brian Battiste. Those two will be joining us at the New York Hilton after I think originally joining us when we hosted live drafts in Florida. Last year, Eric and Brian led their Flax Seed Oil to a 28th place finish overall with 2,830.0 points, but they were in a highly competitive New York League 1 and finished just out of the money in 4th place with 108.5 points. That league was so tight that any one of four teams could have won that league title that last week. Great job guys and best of luck this year in the hunt for the $5,600 league prize and the $100,000 grand prize.

We have more than 180 Main Event signups already with a half dozen commitments coming in today alone. I like it. Our latest signup is travelling to Las Vegas on the Second Weekend after drafting in New Jersey and then Chicago the last two years. The tag team of Alex Reinhart of New York City and Andy Lane of Madison, Wisconsin will be with us at the Bellagio Las Vegas on Saturday, March 31st for the big dance and this year they plan on cashing. Their Pink Sox team finished just outside of the money last year in Chicago League 2, placing 4th with 96 points and 116th overall with 2,322.0 points. Welcome to Sin City guys and best of luck in the hunt for the $5,600 league prize and the $100,000 grand prize.

We now have 58 owners signed up for both Main Events and the shot at $225,000 in prizes. The latest team to sign up for the Main Event and the NFBC XII is the father-son duo of Seth and Jared Poppel. Seth and Jared have drafted with us since the early years of the NFBC and they usually draft in Las Vegas, but this year they will be doing the Main Event Online on Saturday, March 31st and the NFBC XII Online on Sunday, April 1st. Their Seattle Mourners failed to finish in the money last year in Online 3 of the Main and in the March 27th Live Double Play, but they're back for the same two formats again this year. Welcome aboard guys and best of luck in the hunt for both league prizes and the $150,000 in grand prizes.

It's been another crazy day for Main Event league signups. Let's welcome back the tag team of Keith Voight and Chris Dalzell of Playa del Rey, California as they will be joining us at the Bellagio Las Vegas on Saturday, March 31st. Keith and Chris had a great run last year as these NFBC veterans led their GoGo Pulpinators to a 2nd place finish in Las Vegas League 3 of the First Weekend with 117.5 points, placing 23rd overall with 2,883.0 points. Their back for another shot at the $100,000 grand prize and we wish them best of luck once again. Thanks guys.

We had another great run of Main Event signups last night and I'll get to those introductions now. Our latest new signup includes Mark Miller of Doral, Florida, who will be drafting in the Online Championship on April 3rd and the Main Event Online on Saturday, March 31st. Mark competed in a pair of Online Championships last year and had a lot of fun even though those teams didn't cash and this year he's stepping it up to the Main Event. He's now in line for the "The Lindy" if he can win both overall titles. Welcome back Mark and best of luck in the hunt for those league prizes, the $150,000 in grand prizes and the $75,000 cash bonus.

One of the really nice things about our early signups for the NFBC this year is the number of new players to our contest. We keep getting first-year players to our events, which is great for the long-term future of our contest. Our newest member to the growing NFBC family is Hal Goldstein of Albany, New York. Hal will be competing in the NFBC Main Event Online on Saturday, March 31st, his first venture into our 15-team format. Welcome aboard Hal and best of luck in the hunt for this year's $5,600 league prize and the $100,000 grand prize.

We're glad to welcome back a pair of NFBC veterans to the 2012 event as Joshua Coleman of Catlettsburg, Kentucky and Chris Lee will be returning to our 12-team format. Joshua and Chris will be joining us at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare in Chicago on Saturday, March 31st at 6 pm CT for the debut NFBC XII. The competed in the Live Double Play in St. Louis last year, but their 64/60 Sports team didn't finish in the money. They hope to change that around this year in the Windy City. Welcome back guys and best of luck in the hunt for the $4,000 league prize and the $50,000 grand prize.
