We continue to work on our second league in Mahwah, New Jersey as we welcome another returnee from last year's Atlantic City Main Event. Kelly Stokes of Newark, Delaware is a veteran NFBC owner whose ooops team stumbled in Atlantic City 1, but he's hoping for much better results this year away from the casino!! Kelly will be with us at the Mahwah Sheraton on Saturday, March 24th for the First Weekend Main Event. Welcome back Kelly and best of luck in the hunt for this year's league prize and the $100,000 grand prize.

We're also working on our second Main Event team in Chicago and we moved another step closer to a full league there with the arrival of another veteran NFBC team. Let's give it up for the tag team of Jeffrey Mitz and Chris O'Toole of Chicago, Illinois as they will be back with us at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare in Chicago for the big dance on Saturday, March 31st. Jeff and Chris competed in Chicago League 1 last year and their Dark City Bad II struggled to a 14th place finish, but that isn't stopping them from coming back and competing for another title. Welcome back guys and best of luck in the hunt for this year's $5,600 league prize and the $100,000 grand prize.

We now have 8 teams signed up for the New York Auction Championship at the New York Hilton on Sunday, April 1st at 1 p.m. EST. Our latest arrival competed in the Atlantic City Auction last year and will be competing in New York this year. Let's give it up for the tag team of Christopher Hartman of Rosedale, Maryland and his co-manager Gary St. Ours. Chris and Gary led their Bawlmer Yard Dogs to a 4th place finish last year in Atlantic City with 101.5 points, just missing a money finish. Welcome back guys and best of luck in the hunt for this year's league prize and $15,000 grand prize.

Shane Schroeder of Fort Collins, Colorado won the industry's largest grand prize in 2008 when he won the $1 million FFOC grand prize. He's been a member of the NFBC and NFFC since 2009 and this year he returns for a shot at our two Main Event grand prizes. Shane becomes the 76th owner to grab teams in both Main Events as he will be drafting Online in the Classic on Saturday, March 31st and then drafting in the NFBC XII Online on Sunday, April 1st at 1 p.m. EST. Last year, Shane drafted in Las Vegas on the First Weekend and his Redbirds finished 11th in Las Vegas 2 with 77 points. Welcome back Shane and best of luck in the hunt for this year's league prizes and the $150,000 in grand prizes.

It's great to welcome back another NFBC Charter Member to our 9th annual Main Event. Eric Price of Norwalk, Connecticut has been with us since 2004 and he will be back for Season IX at the Bellagio Las Vegas. He's teaming up with Nic Cassavetes in the Diamond League, but has his own team in the Main Event. Last year, God Our Team Sucks! really did suck in Las Vegas 1 of the Second Weekend, finishing 11th with 67 points and 296th overall. But Eric has won a title before and he's looking for another one this year. Welcome back Eric and best of luck in the hunt for this year's league prize and the $100,000 grand prize.

We now have ONLY 7 SPOTS LEFT for the Super League Online on Tuesday, April 3rd, right before Opening Day. Our 8th owner to join this debut event is Aaron Smith of Los Angeles, California, a veteran NFBC owner who loves this format in baseball and football. Aaron competed in the March 27th NFBC Super League last year and led his Curt Flood Love team to a 6th place finish with 88 points. We're glad to have Aaron back with us again this year and we wish him best of luck in the hunt for this year's $20,000 league prize.

The Main Event signups keep rolling in as we now have more than 260 teams entered in the big dance on Feb. 10th. That's pretty amazing and it's certainly the most teams we've ever had before spring training. We're now closing in on our third full Main Event League in New York City on Saturday, March 31st as NFBC veterans John O'Malley of Pearl River, New York and Jason Firestone return to the New York Hilton with us. John and Jason competed at Citi Field last year and led their Tu-lo-giy to Quit! team to an 8th place finish in New York League 2 with 85 points, placing 180th overall with 1,979.0 points. They are now back with us and ready to win their first NFBC league title. Welcome back guys and best of luck in the hunt for this year's $5,600 league prize and the $100,000 grand prize.

We're glad to welcome another NFBC veteran to the Main Event today as Chris Hill of Albuquerque, New Mexico will be back for both weekends in Las Vegas. Chris has been with the NFBC for several years and enjoys the back-to-back weekends in Las Vegas. He's taking Mains at the Bellagio on March 24th and March 31st. Last year, Chris led his My Imaginary Friends to a 7th place finish in Las Vegas 2 of the First Weekend with 88 points, while placing 123rd overall (2,281.5 points) and then saw first-hand how Lindy Hinkelman won the $100,000 grand prize from Las Vegas 4. Chris was in that league, but unfortunately his Two Out Wonders finished 13th in that league with 65.5 points while Lindy went on to the league title and the $100,000 grand prize. Welcome back Chris and best of luck in the hunt for this year's $5,600 league prizes and the $100,000 grand prize.

R.T. Davis of Wichita, Kansas and Chris Throop of New York City love to compete against each other in the New York Auction Leagues -- and they are each doing two in New York City on Friday, March 30th -- but they love to team up in the Main Event. They are coming back to New York City for the big dance on Saturday, March 31st at the New York Hilton. Last year, Team Davis finished 38th overall with 2,761.5 points, but they failed to cash as they finished 4th in a very tough New York League 4 with 101 points. That's a tough one guys. But best of luck this year in the hunt for the $5,600 league prize and the $100,000 grand prize.

We now have more than 265 teams registered for the NFBC Main Event as this is shaping up as a record year for our signature event. Our latest signup is a special one as Dan Dolan of Aurora, Colorado grabbed a spot in the Main Event Online on Saturday, March 31st. Dan is facing a very serious medical procedure in April and can't travel to Las Vegas, but he wasn't about to miss competing in his favorite contest. In fact, he postponed surgery until AFTER the NFBC draft as this is his favorite time of the year. Everything is looking up for Dan and we're so glad he has his priorities in order!! Welcome back Dan and best of luck in the hunt for this year's $5,600 league prize and the $100,000 grand prize. Last in Online 2 of the First Weekend, DenverDan Atonement finished 7th with 92 points, while placing 141st overall with 2,180.5 points. Best of luck with everything this year Dan.

We're working on our 4th Main Event League in New York City and our 18th league overall with record numbers for the Main Event at this point in the off-season. Wow. Our latest entrant is taking both Main Event teams at the New York Hilton, drafting the Classic on Saturday, March 31st and the NFBC XII on Sunday, April 1st. Rob Zamojski of West New York, New Jersey made a great run at the $100,000 grand prize last year and he's hoping for the same success this year. Rob led Buddy & Kitty Inc to a 2nd place finish in New York League 1 with 112 points and finished 17th overall with 2,978.0 points. Buddy & Kitty Inc also finished third in the New York March 25th Live Double Play with 85.5 points and finished 35th overall in the Live Double Play standings with 1,546.5 points. Great job Rob and best of luck in the hunt for this year's league prizes and the $150,000 in grand prizes.

We're glad to welcome back NFBC veteran Stephen Fiore to the NFBC in 2012 as he is our latest owner to take the NFBC Tripleheader with us. Steve is a past NFBC champion who is hoping to add to this past titles with three this year. He's coming to the Bellagio Las Vegas on March 30-April 1 and doing the Main Event, the NFBC XII and the Auction Championship. Last year, his Sultans of Smack battled through a bunch of injuries to finish 5th in Las Vegas 3 in the Main Event with 87 points, while placing 149th with 2,143.0 points. Sultans of Smack also finished 10th in the March 27th Las Vegas Auction League, but then finished 2nd in his March 30th Online Double Play League with 86.5 points. That Online team finished 145th overall with 5,080.5 points. We're glad to have you back for all three events this year Steve and we wish you best of luck in the hunt for the league prizes and the $165,000 in grand prizes.

We now have only two spots left for the April 3rd Super League as we welcome a bunch of new signups this weekend for that league. Starting it off with a signup on Friday night was Philip Bachner of West Hempstead, New York. Phil was with us last year in an earlier Super League, leading his Two Headed Monster to a 10th place finish in the March 20th Super League with 73 points. Now he's signing up for the latest Super League and hoping that the timing will bring a money finish his way. Welcome back Phil and best of luck in the hunt for this year's $20,000 league prize.

Who could ever forget our next returning NFBC members? Gregory and Phil Glukhovsky of West Hills, California are NFBC Charter Members who competed in the $1,300 AL Auction League and the Main Event in our debut season of 2004. The two brothers wore shades to the draft room and loud Yankees jerseys and caps. They had a blast in the AL Auction League and left the Rio that night saying they were going to party in Vegas and come to the Main Event the next morning ready to win it all. Unfortunately, they had the time wrong for the Main Event and came an hour late. We had to draft for them until they came and it was embarrassing all the way around. But they managed their team as best they could and have come back each year, knowing they'll be remembered for their first season screwup!! Last year their Worst Russians Ever teams has their worst NFBC seasons ever, but they are coming back for more and have signed up for the Main Event, Auction Championship and NFBC XII at the Bellagio in Las Vegas on March 30-April 1. Last year, the Worst Russians Ever finished 13th in Las Vegas 2, 15th in the Auction Championship and 7th in the Las Vegas Live Double Play. Welcome back guys and best of luck in the hunt for all three league prizes and the $165,000 in grand prizes.

We got a nice push for both Main Events this weekend from some of our veteran NFBC owners, which is nice to see. That means, though, that we have even more teams now in line for the $75,000 cash bonus. Coming back for both Main Events at the New York Hilton on Saturday, March 31st will be the tag team of Kristopher Carroll of Bedford, Pennsylvania and Raj Patel. These veteran NFBC owners had a great run last year and now they're coming back for even more fun in 2012. Kris and Raj led their Balls Deep team to a 3rd place tie in New York League 5 last year with 112 points, while placing 35th overall with 2,770.0 points. Balls Deep also finished 2nd in the New York Live Double Play with 81 points, while finishing 189th overall with 4,832.5 points. Great job guys and best of luck in the hunt for this year's league prize and the $150,000 in grand prizes.

We're working on our fourth Main Event league in New York City thanks to several signups this week. Among those returning to the New York Hilton with us for the big dance are the tag team of Sean McCormick of New York City and his co-manager Matt Leone. Sean and Matt led Mighty Mighty McDads to an 11th place finish in New York 4 with 70 points, while placing 221st overall with 1,829.5 points. Welcome back guys and best of luck in the hunt for this year's $5,600 league prize and the $100,000 grand prize.

Here's another veteran NFBC team coming back for the NFBC Tripleheader in Las Vegas. Love it. Ross and Patrick Longood of Richmond, Virginia will be joining us again at the Bellagio Las Vegas for the Main Event, the NFBC XII and the Auction Championship. Ross and Patrick are a tough, tough team to beat as proven last year. Brothers Longood finished 2nd in the Las Vegas Auction League with 118 points and placed 8th overall with 1,005.0 points, and Brothers Longood II finished 3rd in the March 25th Las Vegas Live Double Play League with 77 points, placing 64th overall with 1,383.5 points. They also led their Toll Street Sewer Swimmers to a 3rd place finish in Las Vegas 5 of the Main Event with 106 points, placing 81st overall with 2,529.5 points. Great, great job guys and welcome back to the NFBC. Oh, and best of luck in the hunt for all three league prizes and the $165,000 in grand prizes.

It's great to welcome back another of our former NFBC national champions to the 2012 contest. Jaime Baird of Cambridge, Ontario won $85,000 with us in 2010 when he won both the NFBC Live Double Play and the Online Double Play. He has expanded his reach now to the Main Events and he's coming back for both Mains in 2012 Online. Last year, his Layin' the Smack Down finished 7th in Online League 3 of the Second Weekend with 91.5 points (112th overall with 2,335.5 points) and Ghetto Onions finished 8th in Online League 3 of the First Weekend with 76.5 points (200th overall). We're glad to have another NFBC champ back with us in 2012 and we wish you best of luck Jaime in the hunt for both league titles and the $100,000 grand prize.

Welcome to Gaetan Lavoie of St. Lambert, Quebec, Jason Duponte of Waltham, Massachusetts, Chris Poulson of Dublin, California and Bruce Bevacqua of New Milford, Virgina. That gives us 13 great, great owners for this one. Thanks all and best of luck to each of you in the hunt for this $20,000 league prize.

Our newest member to the growing NFBC family is Graham Dawick of Oakville, Ontario. Graham joined the NFFC for the first time this summer and competed in our 12-Team Primetime Main Event and our Online Championship. He had so much fun that he's going to join our debut NFBC XII Main Event Online on Friday, March 30th at 7 p.m. EST. This is his first NFBC venture with us, but I have a feeling that Graham will be around with us for a long time. And we're glad we have a solid 12-Team Main Event for him. Welcome aboard Graham and best of luck in the hunt for this year's $4,000 league prize and the $50,000 grand prize.

Let's get back to the signups from this weekend and today. I just couldn't keep up last night, sorry. Our latest arrival is NFBC veteran Ned Donohue of Hopewell Junction, New York, who will be drafting in the Main Event at the New York Hilton on Saturday, March 31st. We're working on our fourth Main Event in the Big Apple. Ned drafted in Online 2 of the Second Weekend last year, with his Puddle of Nud team finishing 6th with 86.5 points and 144th overall with 2,165.0 points. Welcome back to the live event Ned and best of luck in the hunt for this year's $5,600 league prize and the $100,000 grand prize.

I'm VERY happy to see that Scott Fleming of Totowa, New Jersey will be joining us in Las Vegas on the Second Weekend of activities. Scott had a great 2011 season, but a busy work schedule kept him from committing too early to some of our 2012 events. But he jumped into the Mahwah Main Event and Super League, and now he's coming to the Bellagio on March 31 for the Main Event and the NFBC XII. He knows how to win in both formats as he finished second in the NFBC Diamond League and in the NFBC Ultimate Auction League. In the Live Double Play last year, his MINGALING team finished 3rd in Las Vegas March 26th with 91 points, but finished 46th among 780 teams overall with 3,912.5 points. Welcome back Scott and we're glad to have you in Las Vegas with us. Oh, and best of luck in the hunt for both league prizes and the $150,000 in grand prizes.

We now have 103 teams in the First Weekend Main Event -- which means only 2 guaranteed spots are left -- and 279 Main Event teams overall thanks to the arrival of John Gifford of Skowhegan, Maine. John is a veteran NFBC player who competed in the Main Event in the past, but couldn't make last year's big dance. He competed in three Online Championship leagues, but this year he's coming back for the March 24th and the March 31st Main Events Online. We're glad to have you back in the big dance John and we wish you best of luck in the hunt for this year's $5,600 league prizes and the $100,000 grand prize.
