Ryan Braun-
We are still waiting for a decision on Ryan Braun. How long are they going to let this guy twist in the wind?
It's been said by every 'expert' that the 50 game sentence has become a formality. That no player has beaten the process.
The process has never seen this though. Braun's results were leaked.
Without the cloak of secrecy usually afforded Major League Baseball, I'm guessing that there is a whole lotta talk going on behind the scenes. The conspiracy theorist in me has come out of hiding, and I'm starting to surmise that it is not the decision itself that is taking so long. No matter the decision, I'm thinking that MLB is more concerned in how to spin the decision.
They have explaining to do either way. If Braun is suspended, the unusual readings of the test will come into question.
If Braun is exonerated, then MLB will have to spin how the test can be reliable in the future.
But for now, Braun is the only one who knows for sure.
And, it's likely that he'll be the only one that knows after the finding.
The test is supposed to be surefire. The hearing a formality.
With each passing day, we the fans are less sure of those two 'facts'.
MLB= Maybe Later Braun!
MLB= Maybe Later Braun!
On my tombstone-
Wait! I never had the perfect draft!
