We topped 355 teams for the Main Event tonight as we welcome yet another new team to the NFBC Main Event. My good friends at Rotowire.com, Derek Van Riper of Middleton, Wisconsin and Tim Schuler, have jumped into the Las Vegas Main Event on Saturday, March 31st and will be joining us at the Bellagio for our signature event. Derek is a top writer with Rotowire.com, while Tim is the money man there!!! I first met Tim more than a dozen years ago when Krause Publications began publishing the Rotowire.com Fantasy Baseball Magazine. Now it's great to come full circle and have him and Derek in our live draft in Sin City!! These guys are ready for the challenge and are looking forward to their first venture in our live events. They don't want Jeff Erickson to have the only fun from their team!! ;) Welcome aboard guys and best of luck in the hunt for the $5,600 league prize and the $100,000 grand prize.

The Main Event might be sold out before we unveil our new Countdown ticker with the way things are going this week!! WOW!! Let's welcome another new owner to our signature event as Chris Fessler
of Florence, Kentucky has just signed up for the NFBC Main Event Online on Saturday, March 31st. This is Chris's first venture into our live events and we are happy to have him in our 9th annual Main Event. Welcome aboard Chris and best of luck in the hunt for this year's $5,600 league prize and the $100,000 grand prize.

Keep 'em coming folks. We're going to finish with a record year, for sure!!! :D

We moved another step closer to 360 total Main Event teams tonight as the signups are just pouring in tonight. What an amazing day of interest in the NFBC and we still don't have any baseball games on TV yet!! Let's welcome back Winston Sapigao of Flushing, New York as he just grabbed a spot in the New York Main Event on Saturday, March 31st. Winston is an NFBC veteran who shared a team with Anson Chan last year in New York League 3. Their team didn't finish in the money last year, but they are back for another shot at the title this year. Welcome back Winston and best of luck in the hunt for this year's $5,600 league prize and the $100,000 grand prize.

AMAZING!! Great job all.

The demand for these final guaranteed Main Event spots is high as we now have more than 360 teams entered in our signature event. That leaves us with LESS THAN 30 GUARANTEED SPOTS FOR THE MAIN EVENT!! Many of these latest signups are coming in for the Main Event Online on the Second Weekend. I'm glad to welcome back another NFBC veteran who is returning to the big dance after skipping last year. Let's give it up for Jeff Meyer of Midlothian, Virginia as he will be competing in the Main Event Online on Saturday, March 31st. Welcome back to the NFBC Jeff and best of luck in the hunt for this year's $5,600 league prize and the $100,000 grand prize.

WE NOW HAVE 5 SPOTS LEFT for the Mahwah Auction at the Sheraton Mahwah on Friday, March 23rd at 5 p.m. EST. Let's give it up for another entry into the Main Event Online for Saturday, March 31st at 1 p.m. EST. Ryan Wendland of Waterford, Michigan is back after an incredibly wild 2011 season. Ryan led his Tales of a Dead Boogieman to a 48th place finish overall last year with 2,718.0 points, but that was good enough for only 4th place in a very, very tough Second Weekend Online League 3. Tales of a Dead Boogieman finished with 108.5 league points, 3.5 points out of first place where two teams tied for the title and a half-point out of third place. Wild. Welcome back Ryan and best of luck in the hunt for this year's $5,600 league prize and the $100,000 grand prize.

After a four-year hiatus from the NFBC Main Event, Steve Kraut of Raeford, North Carolina has returned with an entry in our March 31st Main Event Online. Steve couldn't make it up to New York again for the live draft and was going to sign up for the Online Championship before realizing he can now do the Main Event Online. He wants a shot at "The Lindy", so look for an Online Championship team later as well. Nice. Welcome back Steve and best of luck in the hunt for this year's $5,600 league prize and the $100,000 grand prize.

We're glad to add one more new member today to our growing list of Main Event Online drafters for Saturday, March 31st. Shawn Coots of Fairfax, Vermont admits that he's more of a fantasy football die-hard than a fantasy baseball die-hard, but he's looking forward to joining the NFBC and NFFC this year after years with the WCOFF. Shawn actually won a league title and finished 11th overall in the WCOFB last year, and despite not getting paid, is willing to try it again with the NFBC. Shawn will be Online in baseball, but I know we'll see him in Las Vegas for football. Welcome aboard Shawn and best of luck in the hunt for this year's $5,600 league prize and the $100,000 grand prize.

We now have four full Main Event Online leagues for Saturday, March 31st at 1 p.m. EST and will obviously continue with a 5th league going forward. Our latest signup for that event is Michael Pisani of Haddam, Connecticut. Michael is an NFBC veteran who competed in the First Weekend Main Event Online 1 and struggled to a lower-tier finish. But he's back with a renewed plan and a co-manager in Larry Noiva, so this year will be different. Welcome back guys and best of luck in the hunt for this year's $5,600 league prize and the $100,000 grand prize.

This is Michael's first venture into our NFBC contests and we're glad he has chosen our 12-Team Main Event. We now have 128 teams for the First Weekend Main Event, leaving us with ONLY 7 SPOTS LEFT THERE!! We moved one step closer to a Main Event sellout today when Bill Strickler of Holiday, Florida took entries in both Main Events and he added an NFBC XII Online on Saturday, March 31st at 7 pm EST. We now have 97 owners with teams in both Main Events. Bill is a former NFFC national champion as he won our NFFC Primetime 12-team event in 2009. He also won a pair of NFBC Online Championship league titles last year, finishing 34th and 38th overall among 780 teams. His two Main Event teams both struggled last year -- 12th in First Weekend Online League 1 with 62.5 points and 9th in Second Weekend Online League 2 with 80 points -- but he's back and ready to win both Main Events and the $225,000 overall. Welcome back Bill and best of luck in the hunt for all of the league prizes and the $150,000 in grand prizes.

The influx of so many new teams and new owners if the most positive aspect of this year's signups. Welcome to all of our new members. Let's give a hearty welcome to the team of Michael Bellino of New York City and his co-manager E.J. McLeavey-Fisher as they will be joining us at the New York Hilton on Saturday, March 31st for the Main Event. This is their first venture into our contests and we wish them best of luck in the hunt for the $5,600 league prize and the $100,000 grand prize.

We now have a full Super League on Saturday, March 31st as Mark Buell of Fairfax, California has grabbed the last spot. We now have 10 owners drafting live with me in Las Vegas and 5 owners Online and via teleconference. Those owners will be able to hear every pick from Las Vegas and will have access to a big online draft board. This should be a lot of fun. Welcome aboard Mark and best of luck in the hunt for this $20,000 league prize.

We now have ONLY 1 SPOT LEFT in the New York Sunday, April 1st, 1 p.m. EST Auction Championship at the New York Hilton as we welcome Scott Fleming of Totowa, New Jersey to that event. Scott is already in the NFBC Main Event, NFBC XII and Super League, so the addition of the Auction makes perfect sense!! We'll miss ya in Las Vegas Scott but it's good to see that you're getting back into the swing on the East Coast. Welcome aboard and best of luck in the hunt for this league prize and the $15,000 grand prize.

We're moving closer to 370 total teams in the Main Event today as we welcome back another veteran team to our signature event. Let's give it up for the team of Raymond Ventura of Bridgewater, New Jersey and his co-manager Robert Haviken as they return to the New York Hilton on Saturday, March 31st for the Main Event. Raymond and Robert competed in the Main Event in Atlantic City last year and they led their Kiss Our Pujols team to an 11th place finish in Atlantic City 2 with 65.5 points (271st overall). This year forget about Pujols and get in the money!! Welcome back guys and best of luck in the hunt for this year's $5,600 league prize and the $100,000 grand prize.

Let's welcome back the tag team of Mike Illig and Adam Pummil of Leawood, Kansas as they grabbed one of the last spots in that league. Mike and Adam competed in the NFBC Ultimate League last year and led The Brown Goats to a 12th place finish with 63.5 points. They got off to a rough start and never recovered, but they are ready for a money finish this year in the Super League. Welcome aboard guys and best of luck in the hunt for this $20,000 league prize.

We're glad to welcome back our friends from FantasyAlarm.com as Jeff Mans and Al Williams have secured a team in the Las Vegas Main Event on Saturday, March 31st. Jeff and Al, from Huntington Beach, California, competed in the NFBC Live Double Play in Las Vegas last year, but stepped it up in football with a spot in the NFFC Primetime and now are taking the obvious step to the Main Event in 2012. We're glad to have these guys with us at the Bellagio Las Vegas as we move one step closer to 370 teams overall. Mike Harrison of Waterdown, Ontario grabbed one of the last spots, choosing to do the Main Event Online on Saturday, March 31st. Mike was with us in Las Vegas last year and led his Corked Bats to an 9th place finish in Las Vegas 5 with 71 points, finishing 208th overall. We now officially have 370 teams in the NFBC Main Event as we again applaud FantasyAlarm.com for supporting the NFBC's Main Event. FantasyAlarm has a great fantasy sports show on SiriusXM and Jeff Mans leads the way there. He's also going to lead the way at the Bellagio Las Vegas on Saturday, March 31st with a team in the Main Event. I announced that one earlier. Now his boss, Al Williams of Huntington Beach, California, is going to grab a team for himself as well. NICE. Al would love to be with us in Las Vegas, but he's got good news waiting to arrive at home, so he has to draft his team Online on the 31st. Congrats and welcome aboard Al. Oh, and best of luck in the hunt for this year's $5,600 league prize and the $100,000 grand prize.

We are now approaching 100 owners with teams in both ends of the NFBC Main Event doubleheader as we welcome another owner to our fun Friday-Saturday duo at the Bellagio in Las Vegas March 30-31. Rob Silver of Toronto, Ontario is in two Main Events and today he grabbed an NFBC XII on Friday, March 30th at the Bellagio. We almost have a second full league there to go with our six Main Event leagues on Saturday morning. NICE. Rob is now eligible for the $150,000 in grand prizes and the $75,000 cash bonus for winning both overall titles. Welcome aboard Rob and best of luck in the hunt for the big money.

We are tentatively close to selling out all 135 spots for the First Weekend Main Event as we added a few signups today and I have a few more on hold. I don't think we can go above 135 for that First Weekend contest, so we'll likely shut it off at 135. Our latest returnee to the Main Event is David Longood of Salem, Oregon. David not only is an NFBC Charter Member from our first season of 2004 but he also was a candidate for our NFBC Hall of Fame's inaugural class. David and his sons are the only NFBC members who have won THREE Ultimate Auction League titles and we're glad to have him back with us as he's drafting in the Main Event Online on Saturday, March 24th. David couldn't make last year's events, his first season away from the NFBC, but we're glad to have him back with us now. Welcome back David and best of luck in the hunt for this year's $5,600 league prize and the $100,000 grand prize.
