A chance for five of the MTM Super League participants to start preparing for what promises to be
a very difficult draft! Ken "Sack" Magner, Steve "The Champ" Jupinka, Mike "The Mouth" Massotto, Glenn "Mr Met" Lowy, and
Outlaw Roy Erickson! Shown here at Ron Shandler's Forum in Elizabeth, NJ on Saturday March 3rd.

Great afternoon talking baseball with some great NFBC players! Looking forward to draft night on March 23rd. We are starting
at 6pm..........you got that Lowy? ;)

Leave it to Magner to post a picture that you'd need a microscope to see.

Luckily I was able to utilize my trusty Photoshop software to blow the picture up a bit. ;)

Obviously that would be me behind the rest of the MtM boys at First Pitch. 8-)

Yup, that would make sense. You being the half drunk guy who died of lung cancer from smoking. Good choice there, Lowy.

Now now Mikey, it's not nice to mock the Duke.

By the way, here's a closeup Magner caught of you regaling me (yet again :( ) with that moment of glory on how you dominated Jupinka, Max, and the others at the 1000 Slow Draft last year.

Well, at a pack a day for a month, I could grab an Online Championship team. Make it a year and I've got myself another Super and Main Event squad to boot. Wow, I should just quit smoking and give up Fantasy....better odds at cashing.

Lowy, there is another bad habit of yours that decorum and censorship prevents me from posting a pic of here, but I'll give everyone a hint: It also involves Glenn using only two fingers the same as his smoking habit.

Okay boys, we're a week away from the 1st annual MTM NY Metro Invitational Super League and it's time to rev up the smack talk. I'm starting to worry about this one maybe losing some of its luster with Mikey going quiet on us. Is everything okay Mike? ;)

Folks should know that these owners have agreed to pick the drafts spots on the day of the draft, right before everyone sits down. Tom is cool with that and so am I as long as everyone agrees to this. I think it will add some luster to this event and I'll be interested to see how it goes. Mike is working with Tom on all of the other extras to make this league special. Good luck guys and HAVE LOTS OF FUN!!!

Let the games begin. Time to get ready everyone.

He probably realizes that this ain't no slow draft (Lowy says that's his only claim to fame) and is wondering what he got himself into.

In all seriousness though I want to be in the back half of the draft so I can take advantage of 3rd rd reversal. 8-)

Ah yes, Greg, as usual your most feeble attempts at trying to stoke the flames of this thread's most creative and masterful trash-talk this season has yet again succeeded in only taking me away from my intensive preparations for this draft for just a few short minutes to respond in kind for the entertainment of all who have been following it over the last several months. Yes, gentlemen, as of this post, this year's most anticipated completely live, NFBC high stakes event, featuring some of the best of the best this great national competition has to offer, is only ONE WEEK AWAY! I know that there has been some speculation as to my whereabouts lately as I have been strangely absent from the boards, but rest assured this has only been because I have been quite preoccupied in plotting the demise and destruction of the rest of you come draft day. In addition, I continue to work daily on making sure this will be one of the most memorable live events in NFBC history. And quite frankly, I think I have outdone myself. I do not think anyone in attendance will be disappointed...that is in unless Magner decides to change into his team jersey in front of the assistant draft administrator...now that would cause some disappointment! So you can all continue to crack your jokes, and hurl your insults, and post your little funny images with snappy captions about me, but please do not let my jovial and friendly demeanor fool otherwise lull you into a false sense of security. This event bears my name, and I fully intend on winning it in its inaugural season on my way to reaching my very conservative goal of no less than five league titles this year (mark this down, Greg). I am looking forward as well to having my photo taken with the giant $100,000 check as Greg had mentioned. This will indeed make it easier by having it on file when I win the National Title this year. So when we all sit down at the draft table, rest assured that I will be at the top of my psychological and physical game...whereas competitors like Ericson will need help just sitting there without slouching. So let the countdown begin, and the anticipation build. This is going to be one hell of a night! 8-)

A week from now, the esteemed members of the MTM New York Metropolitan League will be breaking bread, talking trash, and throwing back more than a few cold ones together as we regale each other of our tales from the draft table of the evening prior. I hope everyone is prepared and is as completely stoked as I am about this event. I am even considering just camping out at the venue all week :D . It will truly be a night that will be the talk of the NFBC for years to come for sure. Let's all plan on getting to the hotel as early as possible on Friday for the league reception festivities so that we can start the draft as close to 6:00 pm EST as possible. Keep in mind that we have a draft order to decide on the spot before we get going  8-). That sound you just heard was Thelen's stomach turning. Not to worry, I will have a bottle of Milk of Magnesia on hand for him in addition to the defibrillator ;) . Just one little piece of housekeeping: The assistant draft facilitator was asking me this week when we spoke if you guys had any special requests. I told her I would get back to her after I spoke to Jupinka and Magner's wives for starters...  Any requests for her or ideas for the event, please feel free to post them on this thread. Let's get ready to rumble, boys!!!

Nice to see that Mikey the Mouth is so busy with all the odds and ends of draft night.
He seems to be more concerned about providing us with a knockout gal, shirts, and
a nice trophy then he is about giving himself a shot at competing. This will surely provide
him with a built in excuse for his in season failure. While you were checking your look in
the mirror, Mikey, Sack of Crumbs were meeting in North Carolina to plan your demise!
My pal Joe has his game face on already! Mikey...........better hit the books pal. Five more
days and you are going to get schooled baby! :)
