I think speed is going to be your downfall. I don't see a burner here other than Torres possibly. Outfield is hoping for a big bounce back from Werth. If not, you will be looking for outfield speed in free agency. I like the pitching and the starting infield is strong. Overall pretty good.... definitely can compete with some outfield help.

I like this team a lot. If Carpenter can stay healthy and/or you get production from the bottom part of your rotation and you can pick up some saves in FAAB, you will be strong across the board. Nice draft.

Thanks - would rather chase speed than anything else...

But my approach is to try and chip away at speed rather than go for out and out speed guys.

Votto & Alexei Ramirez should both steal 8-10, Roberts, Weth & Cabrera 15-20, Pedroia & De Aza (or Torres / Scahfer) 20-25

It adds up I think...

Matt,

Like this team a lot. If Addison runs with the closers job that is an excellent staff top to bottom. I actually thinks are not going to be a huge problem for you. I do think you have some potential BA drains but other than that, a very well balanced team, in my humble opinion. I did the first OC and came away with:

Salty
Ramos
Morse
Kinsler
Aybar
Sandoval
Daniel Murphy
Freeman
Braun
BJ Upton
Gardner
Morrison
Tabata
Goldschmidt
Bench - Offense - Joyce, Pena, Soriano, Viciedo (nice Bench to have, got Pena in the 30th round)

Weaver
Strasburg
Romero
Cueto
C. Lewis
Lilly
Motte
Santos
Reed
Bench - Pitchers - Liriano, Thornton, Capuano

I think the speed is light, but within reach of targets. The problem I see is a huge lack of power, in a 12-teamer Votto/Werth/Aramis isn't gonna cut it IMO. Yonder Alonso and Mitch Moreland won't save the power deficit I see on this roster. Probably went a little too big at SP, could've used another hitter instead of the 3rd Felix/Weaver/Yovani. Good bullpen.

Thanks for the feed back. It projects to 250 HRs which would have been just outside the top 25% last year in HRs

That's a tad low, I'm aiming for 85% of each category to be in contention for the Overall.

Agreed. Hopefully they will either out perform their projections or FA will help. I was middle of the road in HRs last year until I picked up the likes of Joyce & Francoeur and ended with 270+ HRs

Same strategy as the last OC, I see... Except SP is a little better and OF is worse. Breaking the mold again.. If Alvarez, Nova, and Leake have big seasons, you are golden in both leagues!!

Just curious if anyone can shed any light on about how long these online championship drafts are taking. Thanks.
