Re: Who's Coming To The 2012 NFBC And Where?
We are 1 spot away from filling up our 28th Main Event League overall and 5th on the Second Weekend Online as we welcome another new member to our signature event. Gary Chai of Jersey City, New Jersey has competed in Slow Drafts with us the last two years, but this year he's stepping up to the Main Event Online and going for our biggest prize that we offer. Gary grabbed a spot this morning as we hit 419 teams. Welcome aboard Gary and best of luck in the hunt for this year's $5,600 league prize and the $100,000 grand prize.

Re: Who's Coming To The 2012 NFBC And Where?
After a one-year absence from our Main Event, we're glad to welcome back Paul LeMarbre of Waukesha, Wisconsin as he also grabbed one of the last spots in our signature event this morning. Paul has been with the NFBC since our earliest days, but he took a year off last season and was glad to see there was still one spot left this morning. He wanted to draft live in Chicago and hopes Chicago picks up in future years, but for now the Online version will have to do. We're glad to have you back Paul and we wish you best of luck in the hunt for this year's $5,600 league prize and the $100,000 grand prize.

Re: Who's Coming To The 2012 NFBC And Where?
Matthew Grattan of Greenport, New York grabbed the last official spot in the NFBC Main Event, closing out our 2012 $100,000 challenge as our 420th team. Matthew returns after competing in Las Vegas League 6 of the Second Weekend last year. He can't swing the trip to Las Vegas, but he is ECSTATIC that he was able to grab the last spot in our signature event. It's great to have another veteran NFBC owner back with us and we wish him best of luck in the hunt for this year's $5,600 league prize and the $100,000 grand prize.
THE NFBC MAIN EVENT IS NOW SOLD OUT AT 420 TEAMS!!! LET THE COMPETITION BEGIN!!

Excellent, Greg! Congrats on all of your success this year. Just one question: Now with 420 teams as opposed to 390, and the very real possibility of eclipsing this year's mark in 2013, are there any plans to increase the grand prize money and/or the top ten overall pay outs as well?

Re: Who's Coming To The 2012 NFBC And Where?
The Top 10 overall prizes will get a bump this year for sure, although I haven't exactly decided on where that will be yet. I do think 2nd place overall getting to $25,000 would be a great start and then working from there. I'll post that soon.Baseball Furies wrote:Excellent, Greg! As many of our NFFC owners know, we are increasing our entry fee for our two football Main Events this summer to $1500 as our competition is at $1600. If we follow suit in the NFBC next year and increase the Main Event slightly, it would allow us to increase all 3 league prizes and the overall prize structure, while I believe still selling out. So yes, we're already doing the math for next year and seeing our first possible bump to the grand prize. But that's for 2013. We'll see what happens before then, but I do feel confident that we have an event that can sell out at 420 and beyond going forward.

Re: Who's Coming To The 2012 NFBC And Where?
It's good to see that we have our first signup for an NFBC event on Opening Day. With the season opener not scheduled to start until 7 pm ET on Wednesday, April 4th, we added two NFBC XII drafts for that day and three draft times for the Online Championship. If you want that final fix before the season starts, these drafts will get the job done. Ken Magner of Freehold, New Jersey grabbed the first spot in the 2 pm NFBC XII Online on Wednesday, April 4th, leaving us with 11 more spots to go. This is Kenny's second NFBC XII to go with two Main Events. I like it. Welcome aboard Ken and best of luck in the hunt for both league prizes, the $150,000 in grand prizes and the $75,000 cash bonus.

Also grabbing a spot in that Saturday, March 31st NFBC XII Online last night was Bernie Bennett of Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. Bernie is also in the Main Event and he becomes our 125th owner to have entries in both Main Events. This is starting to get fun. Bernie is doing the Main Event earlier that day, so best of luck in the same day Main Event doubleheader Bernie!!

Re: Who's Coming To The 2012 NFBC And Where?
We already have one full NFBC XII Online League on Tuesday, April 3rd at 7 pm ET, but we kept that date open because we felt we could fill another league just before Opening Day. We now have 2 owners signed up for that second league and we hope to get 10 more. Let's welcome our newest member of the growing NFBC family as Kristen Cass of Coquitlam, British Columbia has signed up for that 12-Team Main Event team. Welcome aboard Kristen and best of luck in the hunt for this year's $4,000 league prize and the $50,000 grand prize.

Re: Who's Coming To The 2012 NFBC And Where?
We now have ONLY 4 SPOTS LEFT for the Sunday, April 1st 10 am PT Las Vegas NFBC XII at the Bellagio as we welcome two new owners today. I'm happy to report that Dave McDonald, of Bay Village, Ohio is back with the NFBC this year, grabbing an NFBC XII team in Las Vegas on April 1st. It's great to have Dave back with us despite a rough year that included not getting paid by a competing baseball contest last year. Sorry about that Dave, but I promise you will get paid $50,000 if you win this overall contest. And we're also happy to welcome NFBC veteran Bob Mazur of Boulder, Colorado as Bob jumped into his fourth event of the weekend as he just couldn't stand having Sunday open!!
Welcome aboard guys and best of luck in the hunt for the $4,000 league prizes and the $50,000 grand prizes.
